Glucosulin has recently been polluting the tv airways with a so-called “free trial offer” of their diet pill which touts “clinically proven weight loss and healthy blood sugar metabolism”.
Anytime this hound hears the words “free trial offer” it really gets my fur bristled so l decided to dig more into this and what I discovered isn’t exactly pretty…
First, let’s talk about what Glucosulin really is…
Glucosulin contains a “proprietary blend” of various herbs which they claim will slow the absorption of carbohydrates and thus slow the release of sugar into your bloodstream, which helps you lose weight.
The main active ingredient in Glucosulin is Glucomannan which has been shown in some studies to be effective in decreasing body weight. This effect is achieved by making you “feel full” which is due to the swelling of the Glucomannan in your gut once it’s been exposed to liquids.
Here’s where it get’s ugly…
It appears that Glucosulin isn’t exactly safe. Esophageal obstruction has been reported in several people taking glucomannan. Glucomannan has even been banned in many countries due to the high incidence of gastrointestinal obstruction. Glucomannan should not be used by people with a previous history of G.I. obstruction, and caution should also be used in diabetics.
Even more bad news. The customers AREN’T HAPPY!
While researching Glucosulin, I came across HUNDREDS of consumer complaints online. These complaints range everywhere from rude and scammy customer service agents to even worse, fraud.
The biggest complaint people are making centers around the free trial offer. They advertise it as a free trial where you only pay 11 dollars shipping, but the fine print says you’ll be charged $100 if you don’t return it within 30 days…and they’ll keep charging you every few months until you cancel.
Even worse, many people who do cancel within 30 days are still being charged $100. They’re also finding it extremely difficult to deal with customer service, especially when trying to cancel the free trial or get a refund. There have even been reports where people received a bill from a collection agency after cancelling their Glucosulin “free trial offer”. I think this is just outrageous.
The Health Hound’s Verdict? SCAM!
I see these types of scams often. These companies come up with these “miracle” diet pills and aggressively advertise them as free trial offers where you pay shipping, then they hit you with ridiculous charges a month later. There’s a lot of these out there so keep your guard up but do keep in mind not all free trial offers are scams.
A better way to lose weight?
There is a great alternative to Glucosulin that my pack loves. Unlike Glucosulin, this program is not scam. It’s a 100% free report I’ve put together that teaches you several proven methods to lose weight. In the Health Hound’s opinion, I would say that it’s a no-brainer not to at least give this free report a try.

Great download! I am a real skeptic – especially with downloads, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by your write-up. It makes sense! A friend recommended Sensa and after reading your site, I am (once again) too skeptical to try.”
