Dr. D’Adamo’s Eat Right for Your Type may be based on pseudo-science, but it has helped many people lose weight. Confusing?
Dr. D’Adamo rationalizes that your blood type ancestors ate certain types of diets depending on when that blood type began showing up in various groups of people and the types of foods that were available. They weren’t fat, so if you eat this way, you shouldn’t be fat.
As simple as it sounds, it does not hold water. This before was written before genetic testing. Now that scientists can test this stuff – the theory has been proven false.
Ultimately, Eat Right For Your Type advises healthier foods and limiting processed foods. If you’ve been eating a typical American diet and make those changes, you’re going to lose weight… regardless of your blood type.
