Quietus – What’s The Truth?
Quietus is an herbal supplement which is popularly advertised on the radio across the United States. While there are people out there who have apparently reported some success using Quietus, there are solutions out there for curing tinnitus naturally that don’t require you to take a pill every day.
The real problem with Quietus is the fact that it’s a “risk-free trial offer”. Which means you pay a small upfront fee to try Quietus for 30 days. If you don’t like it, you return it within 30 days and they give you your money back (hopefully). If you don’t return it within 30 days they charge your credit card $99.95 for one bottle. These trial offers have gotten a lot of attention lately due to the FTC cracking down on them because of their deceptive nature. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of good risk free trial offers out there. I think Netflix is a good example. Check out my blog post here or just keep reading for more information on this. Even better, Visa & Mastercard recently started banning risk-free trial offers because they reportedly account for about 2% of their total sales and 40% of their chargebacks.
There have also been reports of some “deceptive selling” by their customer service agents when you call in to place your order.
There is a great alternative to Quietus that my pack loves. Unlike Quietus, this program is not scam. It’s a 100% free report I’ve put together that teaches you several proven methods to eliminate your tinnitus. In the Health Hound’s opinion, I would say that it’s a no-brainer not to at least give this free report a try.

I am a firm believer in acupuncture, as this eliminated my sciatica after more than ten years of suffering, trying everything else short of surgery. Two months ago I started noticing a very high pitched whine in my left ear, sometimes it is also in “stereo center.” My acupuncturist says the high pitch of my tinnitus means it is related to the liver. Her treatments brought instant, but only temporary relief. My pulses (etc.) are OK so there isn’t much more she can do. She said no alcohol and no shellfish. I noticed, also, that any processed carbs like sugar and pasta make it worse. Also, any meat or milk product makes it worse. Any “experiments” mean I must put up with a loud 10-15 khz tone, like a broken old TV set, for at least 24 hours, either in the left ear on in the center of my head. I only consume unprocessed plant based foods. Eggs seem to be OK, though. I also take Emergen-C, so I get a little extra calcium, B vitamins, etc. With a strict vegetarian diet (except for eggs) it is slowly going away. I am perfectly healthy and feel great except for the noise. (53 yr old male)
My husband tried Quietus for 3 months and it did not work. He’s had tinnitus for about 10 years. He asked his ENT doctor if he knew of a product that would help and the doctor said to try lipo-flavinoids, that some people reported relief from tinnitus.
Quietus is a total ripoff. I think they invest the absurdly high price they charge and count on making some money in the 60 days it takes you to qualify for the money back guarantee. They try to sell you more than you need, as well as sell you other things that have nothing to do with Tinnitus. You have to wait 60 days to return the crap and then they offer you 80 bucks on the spot or you can wait several weeks to get the full amount. I think they count on a fair number of folks just writing it off as a loss.
There are no active ingredients in homeopathic medicine. The idea of homeopathy is to dilute the “active” ingredients in water so much so that there is none left in the final solution. It’s a marketed placebo.

I’ve had tinnitus for many years. The pharmacist at Sam’s Club recommended an over-the counter pill called Lipo-Flavonoid. She has about 30 or so people that get it regularly from her. I’ve been taking Lipo-Flavonoid for almost a year now and can highly recommend it. It does not do away with the ringing entirely but it has seriously reduced the ringing level from a 10 to about a 3. It took about 2 months for it to kick in. The good thing is 100 pills only costs $21. I take 2 in the morning, 1 at noon, and 2 before bed. Hope this helps a few of you with an alternative to constant ringing.
Can you find out the manufacturers name & address for the Quietus tinnitus medication? Their website’s info doesn’t seem to be functioning any longer…..??
I have had constant severe tinnitus for 40+ years as a result of a career in airplanes. I have tried several “cures” over the years without success. I heard about “quietus” and called to find out. The “customer service agent” wouldn’t quit talking even though I tried to inforn him that I couldn’t understand him. I tried to say that I only wanted to do the “risk-free trial. We are now finding out that we are “signed up” for sleazy magazines, security programs, and Heaven only knows what else. I am furious. Not only that but the damned stuff didn’t work!
I hope you have called them again (and again!) and contacted your bank to get the transaction refunded, and the ‘extras’ cancelled! Good luck, David!
I tried it and it did not work at all. Trying to get my money back now.
I ordered a bottle and it did not work. I called the company and they said to try it again and take three pills a day rather than one. The next bottle I tried 3 pills a day and it did not work. I called the company againg and they said I should order two bottles and take six pills a day. This is also not working.
This is a SCAM!
The one woman who talks about her results with Quietus in a radio commercial sounds as if her throat, adenoid, and voice and lungs have been destroyed—she’s so whispery, and sounds in pain!
ok how about silatone heard about it on radio been taking it now for a week and the weard dreams are back the catch is they want you to take a sleep aid with it levaquil i tryed to research the siltone but some how got to your web site so have any thing on this stuff so far its not working for me and yes trial size thirty days i do have sevre case of meniers and the ringing and the ocean, buzzing in ear with the violent attack of vertigo every now and then
Yes, Quietus IS a scam. My husband ordered it while I was on vacation instead of going to the doctor like I told him. The immediately charged my credit card $149.98 for the product. I called the customer service number and the man insisted I had the “ordering dept.” not customer service, even though I had called the exact number he gave me for customer service. He insisted that I had dialed the wrong number! Upon receiving the produce I called for a return authorization. The guy kept reading a script even though I told him all I wanted was a return number. I set the phone down, went to do some tasks and cam back 10 minutes later and he was still reading! I finally received the return autho. number. However they keep the $14.96 shipping cost, I have to pay to return the product through a delivery confirmation AND they don’t credit my card for 60 days!
I called the bank and told them I was disputing the charge. Fortunately, they put the money back into my account.
Out of curiosity, I took the list of ingredients to the ENT doctor. He said the product was worthless.
There is an ad in the Farmers Almanac ’2010 Western Edition, on page 85, claiming to help stop ringing in the ears. It’s “Dr.John’s Special Ear Drops”. from Dr. John’s Research, Taylor, Mi. Have you heard of this?or tested it? Just wondering.
Just like the poor, snake oil salesmen will always be with us. If you read no further, please go to the American Tinnitus Association’s website

Tinnitus is a SYMPTOM of a physiological problem – just as a pain in your stomach won’t be helped by aspirin if you’ve been stabbed! Don’t be discouraged by MD’s who tell you there is no cure. There is a lot of research going on in this field, and there are effective approaches toward ameliorating the symptoms: few people get complete surcease, but treatments exist that help you lower the volume and/or learn to live with it in a panic-less mode.
If you continue researching you might find relief with any variety of treatments, depending upon what’s causing your trouble: you may never discover the cause, but you might discover a treatment that effects some relief.
Just consider the following possible approaches: bio-feedback; TMJ treatment; cranial manipulation (sounds crazy but it worked a little for me); massage; dietary changes; meditation (in the bath with the water running works well); music treatment – the Cleveland Clinic has some good programs with that; masking; physical therapy/stretching; simple exercise; no smoking/drinking alcohol/caffeine. There are legitimate professionals who can help. Be determined, don’t take NO for an answer, and do NOT buy one-pill-treats-all cures from anyone!
Don’t fall for the quietus crap. It does not work. It cant work. I have ordered a bottle of Quietus and taken 3/4 of it with no results for my tinnitus. I gave the remaining pills to a friend of mine who is a chemist and he found nothing by sugar. They are just sugar pills. Don’t you see the company is relying on the placebo effect for a majority of there suckers. Don’t fall prey to their scheme. I got my money back after 3 grooling months of calling them.
Tried it, didn’t relieve any symptoms. In trying to get in contact with them (Preval Health) on the phone (for 3 weeks), either got busy signal or was put on hold indefinitely. Two emails provided no response for two weeks, when I received a message on my phone to call them. Well, I could not find the original packing slip (as required for refund), so I did not receive full refund, only half, which I figure is better than nothing. I just found the packing slip and will try to get the rest of my refund.
Hey Gerry,
That sounds really fishy to me. If they gave you half your refund since you didn’t have a packing slip, why can’t they just give you the entire thing? That doesn’t make any real sense. If you call them and threaten to dispute the charge with your credit card company, chances are they will issue you a full refund.
Hope This Helps!
Gerry, Dude here,
I would absolutely agree with Henry. Why Preval is so notorious is because of their retention methods, and trying to get as much out of you as possible. I wouldn’t wait another day to bring your concerns with your credit card company and dispute the charges. They record most of their calls in Customer Care, so hopefully that will be an aid to you as well. I’ll tell you, just bringing up the name of the Preval Group should be enough to get them concerned with their merchant account status with Preval. Take it easy, and remember;
The rug, it really tied the room together.
His Dudeness, Sorry to hear that you are no longer a slave to the oppressors at Preval. I’m sure you realize that it is a mixed blessing and you must be enjoying the drop in your blood pressure, pulse, stress level etc. If you have been at Preval for more than a few months, you are darn good and you won’t have any trouble finding a job. There is also a great smaller call center in downtown Westbrook that is hiring. Nudge nudge, wink wink.
As one of SCORES of former Preval employees, I don’t want to sound like a broken record. Let me be clear, being subtle doesn’t work. Do NOT do business with a sleeeaazy operation like Preval Direct. If you do, you’ll get what you paid for. May the teachings of Dudeness guide you in peace……….
An Otologist ( ear doc ) when asked any cure for tinnitus his answer NO
I’ve had tinnitus since 1946, at Camp Mathewa ( ain’t there no mo)CA . I am a retired Marine, the first rifle shot did it. Korea and Nam didn’t help either. Agood much of the time I just ignore it but there are times—-! If this stuff works what a Blessing! I’m 81 yo.
My experience with Quietus was not good. The noise I have changed pitch a little but did not subside the least bid. When I called to initiate the return and refund all of the reputed “friendly customer service reps” were out to lunch. The rigid refund process must be followed to a “T” or you need not look for your money back. I was under the impression when ordering the product that my credit card would not be charged until the second month’s supply was shipping. This allowed the 3-4 week trial to access the level of satisfation then either allow additional product to ship or to cancel.
I tried Quietus for my tinnitus but by trying to cancel ended up with elevated blood pressure from the experience.
IS SILATONE A SCAM?
I was douped into believing that this product was the “Miracle” for Tinnitus. I to doubled up on the dose to no avail. Thank God the $200 didn’t cause me to loose my home or anything, but the lies perpetrated by these yo-yo’s need to be put to rest. How these fly-by-night companies stay in business is beyond me. Faith in the Lord will(and has been)get me through. May the Lord lay His healing hand on all of the suffering people. P.S. Thanks for this site–I wish that I had seen it two months ago. Life goes on….
I tried this stuff too, something about the ad convinced me it was worth a try. I had a sinus thing which plugged my ears badly; I couldnt pop them for like 2 weeks and the pressure was severe. I saw the ad after it cleared up, mostly. I used Quietus for 2+ weeks with no benefit, The first pill or two made me feel lightheaded and uneasy. In fact, my tinnitus is now louder, rougher, and lower in pitch, but who’s to say why. I wonder if it’s gotten worse for anyone else?
Dude here,
http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/health-and-diet-products-retail/preval-group-llc-in-scarborough-me-26290/
That is the direct link for BBB page on Preval. Some scary stuff in there. Most of the complaints are with billing and crediting, reason being the value clubs we have to pitch before getting the customer off the phone. There is a script that is read, verbatim, and all the sales reps need is a clear confirmation (Yes, ok, sure, etc..). Once that happens, the value clubs are usually processed the next day in bunches, so it charges 1.95×2 to X customers. Those club pitches are audited, but it doesn’t matter how fast or clear the read through was, all we need is a clear ‘OK’. When I was with Preval, I had some people who told me right off that they didn’t want it, read it anyways, got an ‘OK’, and got them. So that is for the value clubs, now we have our cross sell products. During the recording, the total has to be dropped only once. So when a sales rep goes into the pitch of it, they don’t have to ask for an ‘OK’, just a new total, then onto giving them a customer service number. That would make someone who is hard of hearing, which is common for folks with tinnitus, or not paying attention, reeled in. Now with auto-shipment, or the infamous relief for life club. The pitch makes it sound like they’re getting free shipping and handling, but they are only getting free S&H on future auto-shipments. It is free to join, and free to back out of. But if you forget to call and cancel your order, expect more Quietus coming your way.
To give Quietus some shred of credibility, it does work well for the group it works for. I can honestly say that I have spoken to folks who have taken it for two to three weeks and found amazing results. But, because of the above paragraph, I’ll never buy from them, only when it is available through retailers.
So the dude here, signing off, I don’t know how many more times I’ll be posting since I have been done with Preval for a spell now. If I remember anything else tho, I will come back and give you all some insight. Take it easy everyone.
The rug, it really tied the room together.
I was running errands today and thought about picking up some Quietus. After a google search, I found a toll-free number and figured someone could tell me where it was available. The guy that answered immediately launched into a hard-sell trying to get me to buy a hefty supply of the product. When I told him I’d have to think about it, he curtly responded, “Then why did you call?” I told him that the tv ad didn’t make it clear that it wasn’t available in stores and I simply was looking for a retailer. He shot back, “No” and hung up. I may have tinnitus but, if you’ll excuse the pun, this whole thing just does not ring true. Sorry Quietus…not interested.
