"Henry,
Great download! I am a real skeptic – especially with downloads, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by your write-up. It makes sense! A friend recommended Sensa and after reading your site, I am (once again) too skeptical to try."
Thanks again,
Beth

My son went to a Monavie meeting and joined, taking his college rent money and buying their juice. They sent him business looking documents in a binder and told him that was his business plan. They talked him into quitting school and sell juice, he was going to be a Physical Therapist, our Christmas present was that he did not study for finals, stopped going to class and now is quitting school to sell juice. They have him so brainwashed that he won’t talk to us because we won’t buy his overexpensive juice. They have ruined his and our life with their promises of making 3 million in 3 years, going to Hawaii and buying him an expensive car. His life right now is ruined, no college, no money, fighting with his family.
As a family of four we do eat healthy. We don’t just talk about it. We shop to buy the best organically grown fruits and vegetables, as we are supposed to be getting 5, 7, to 9 fist sized servings according to Dr. Oz, in order to get enough antioxidants into our diet. Most conventionally grown produce is genetically engineered, grown in substandard soil, sprayed with poisons, and artificially ripened. I find we save money drinking our four ounces of MonaVie a day. We are getting the equivalent of 13 servings of fruit and vegetables from 19 wild or organically grown fruits, 13 of which you will never find in America’s grocery stores. We love our juice and it is not too expensive! We have not had a cold, flu or other sickness in the six years we have been drinking it. There is nothing on the market like it. Don’t listen to people who are pumping their own agendas! MonaVie’s success can only be attributed to one thing: PEOPLE ARE GETTING AMAZING RESULTS AND THE PRODUCTS KEEP GETTING BETTER WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE OF NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE. We are sharing our berries!
For those who are skeptical, you shouldn’t post negative comments about something you know nothing about. My health changed for the (much) better 20+ ways. This is only because I put GOOD nutrition in my body. For almost 5 years now, I’ve had my life back. I’m so thankful and so blessed.
Good for you — good nutrition is important, as the author of this blog consistently encourages. But what does that have to do with MonaVie? It’s simply a fruit juice with mediocre nutritional value but sold at a totally unjustified premium price. The point is, use your food money wisely and avoid this product unless you are so rich you can throw your money away left and right. Real fruit is cheaper and healthier, and other fruit juices are as healthy and much cheaper.
Anecdotes from salesmen with vested interests don’t count as evidence.
Is this product approve by the FDE
I was approached about 4-5 months ago and was encouraged to join as a distributor. I did so that I could test the claims of their other customers. I have some crazy health problems that baffle even the doctors . After being on the product for about 2 weeks I noticed some drastic changes in the way I felt . After about 2 months I would have to say that as long as I can come up with the money I’m taking it. I feel great. Dont trust anyones opinion . Try it for yourself.
THANKS MONAVIE .. Hope you can afford to feel good.
That’s right, don’t trust anyone else’s opinion — especially distributors like David here. Instead, do some basic research and you will find that MonaVie is simply a fruit juice with unimpressive nutritional value. It is not organic, isn’t very high in antioxidants, is wrapped up in a coercive MLM/recruiting scheme and is ridiculously overpriced.
If you want the benefits of fruit, eat fruit, have a glass of store bought unsweetened fruit juice (usually around 10 cents an ounce, while MV is $1.50 an ounce), and make your own whole fruit smoothies.
I think some people think that you can just go to the store and get some fruits. I am not a distributor for Monavie but have been drinking the product. The fruits are exotic and powerful many of which you CANNOT simply get at your local grocery store because they are NOT imported into the U.S. There are some 18 EXOTIC fruits besides the powerful acai. Only a few of those fruits can be found in the U.s. so people just minimizing the product as “just fruit juice” come across as uninformed or worse.
I have been drinking Monavie for 14 months and have gotten off my blood pressure medicine. My tumor markings were elevated after I was in remission from breast cancer (the reason I started drinking Monavie in the first place). I am happy to report that the tumor markings have gone down. The new weight management/meal replacement is like no other that I have ever used or witnessed. It is the most outstanding product that is on the market for weight management – the most nutrition with the least amount of calories. Monavie has double-blind studies and you can check out the research and testimonies of the weight people have lost. If you are looking for an opportunity to lose weight AND get paid while helping other people, then check it out. What do you have to lose besides weight and debt! A dream too big is just the right size . . .
Think about how unlikely it is that a fruit juice would both lower one’s blood pressure and help in the remission of breast cancer. These claims are both unbelievable and against FDA regulations (and MV’s own clearly stated guidelines). It’s proof of the outrageous lengths MV distributors will go to hook new recruits.
As for the business end of things, you need only look at MV’s income disclosure statement to see that almost 98% of the distributors are barely making minimum wage or (most common) losing money. What’s more, MV hasn’t updated their IDS since mid-2009, so one can only suspect things are even worse and they are loathe to reveal it.
Do your research before doing any business with this dubious organization.
My friends bought into the Monavie juice and company….then they nagged me to join. And nagged me, and nagged me. The juice was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE if you didn’t join the company. They dropped out afer about 4 months….just too expensive they said.
It does not make you lose weight but does work for other ailments….however, don’t join the company as it is RELIGIOUS based and they push the product based on that. By the way, the only people that make money are on the top and they will take other clients from you without a second thought. They are not TRUE people but phonies….
thanks for the info on this product. The whole sales approach just turns me off. I’m not saying that the juice isn’t good. It is. But the poster that says it’s lower in the glycemic index…come on, it’s a fruit. Any diabetic (i’m one) knows that in the diabetic diet, you must limit (I’m not saying eliminate) your intake of fruit because of how it spikes the blood sugar. I’ll save my money and eat actual local fruits, when they’re available, since juices tend to not have enough fiber to balance out the sugars. It’s much better to eat the fruit itself rather than the juice unless you make the juice yourself.
For those that actually do a little research, it is common knowledge that acai is NOT a weight loss fruit. Acai, especially, in a freeze dried form, is, however, and healthy fruit. I know allot of folks who spend over $15.00 per day at Mcdonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, and Arbys. Do you think that they could afford to spend $3.00 a day on a heart health fruit beverage? Or maybe just substitute the sausage Mcmuffin for a 3 oz. shot of MonaVie. Hmmmmmmm.
Monavie does not claim to be a weight loss product. It is a product that brings you the health benefits of a blend of 19 of the most nutritious fruits in the world loaded with Antioxidants, Phytonutrients, Vitamins and Minerals, Fiber and Proteins. Alot of these fruits are not available ripe in most North American markets. These nutrients can be used to minimize the negative impact of the north american diet (Red Meat, Alcohol, High-Fructose Corn Syrup, Fast Food…)
The comment about spiking blood sugar levels is incorrect. Here are some Glycemic Index Results:
MonaVie (Original): 46
MonaVie Active: 49
MonaVie Pulse: 57
The human body uses glucose in the blood for energy and brain function. Foods with an index value over 70 are considered to be high and under 55 are considered to be low and inbetween are intermediate. The Glycemic Index primarily focuses on carbohydrates. Foods high in fat or protein are not broken down as quickly and do not cause your blood glucose level to rise rapidly. Fiber also helps moderate glucose levels.
Monavie now offers a weight loss product called RVL if you are interested in a weight loss program based on nutrition and excercise.
Monavie packs more than $3/day worth of the nutrients offered in the worlds top superfruits plus the added benefit of Glucosamine, Plant Sterols, Wellmune, etc… Depending on the product you choose.
I have just discovered your sight and I really appreciate that there is someone who can really tell us about these scam products. Therefore I would like to find out what you could tell me about a product called LEANSpa with ACAI.
Acai has not been approved for weight loss, or ever shown to help with weight loss. Any product or program that promises Acai will help you lose weight is not being honest.
My friend Mark began suffering from gout about 3 years ago. Turns out it was a dietary cause brought on by red meat and alcohol. Mark is a steak and beer lover so this was tough on him. He began drinking Mon A Vie, for obvious reasons. He drank the product for about 2 mos. and decided to put their health the claims to the test. He ate a steak, no gout. He drank a beer, no gout. Since then he has had no problem with red meat or alcohol. I personally know several people that have had health issues vanish, from arthritis pain to diabetes, with no side affects other than more energy and a healthier body/lifestyle. If that’s not worth $3 a day…
Scam, scam, scam! Don’t trust any of the trolls who claim that this second-rate fruit punch will cure anything. It’s a Utah based snakeoil pyramid scheme predicated on ripping people off using illegal and false medical claims. This juice has been examined in depth by many sources and it is found to be nutritionally inferior to standard grape and apple juice, and yet it sells for an astronomical $45 a bottle (to support the pyramid scheme). Not one of the trolls here who are claiming miracululous cures will ever stand behind the claims becuase they know that they are untrue and illegal. But this is how these scammers operate. Deplorable! Someone call the FDA and FTC and get these monsters shut down once and for all.
@ Evan:How many times has the comment been made by MV that the product DOES NOT cure anything…too many, get it straight. And how comments have you read from people stating how much better symptoms from illness got? A lot. I actually knew somebody who sold this, as a medical professional I was curious but other than diabetic’s watching their blood sugar when taking this, get this: its just a variety of fruits. SO your illegal and false medical claim rant-buddy I work in Houston with some of the best dr.’s and nurses in the world, there is no need to say a claim about fruits is a false medical report, it makes no sense. People have only reported relief from SYMPTOMS not the disease itself. And as soon as you stop drinking it-those symptoms return, as if you would with prescribed medication, without the nasty side effects most drugs come with. its not a scam either, its just fruit in bottle. And thanks for encouraging those to call the FDA—lets waste their time and money on this, its not like there’s bigger issues out there.
I doubt being a janitor at a hospital qualifies you as a health expert, but it’s nice to know you work in good company.
But MV is a scam. It’s absurdly overpriced and has no proven benefits. If it’s fruit you want, eat fruit. If you want fruit juice, save your money and go to the grocery store to save over $30 a bottle. Or is it better than those alternatives? Do you have some unbiased evidence?
It’s a scam. Its clientele is its own distributors who are lied to with false claims of health benefits and easy income. Why else would anyone pay so much for so little?
Sure, just claims that symptoms are alleviated, which is typical of placebo effect (no wonder, when preceded by outrageous claims, a fancy bottle and high price tag). Just read the comments here, they are false health claims: “health issues vanish, from arthritis pain to diabetes”, “brought down cholesterol about 30 ts”, “the tumor markings have gone down”. Look around the web and you’ll see more, including a top distributor bringing in someone to pretend to be a cancer specialist. Why bother with this company and their products?
Am I to understand that anyone that says they have had possitive results from drinking this product is either a “distributor”, or a troll. Lets be fair and keep an open mind. Im not a distributor and I have been drinking home made Acai juice for a while now. It has amazing properties. I cant afford Monavie, but to keep costs down I buy freeze dried Acai berry pulp and mix it with water. Acai is VERY expensive, but I think that most “healthy” food is.
A&A,
Yes, the FDA and the FTC should be called. The company through its paid distribution network is making illegal health claims.
Generally this is the area where the FTC and the DoJ come in and shut the place down as they did with MonaVie CEO’s Dallin Larsen’s last juice company. MonaVie is a much more widespread scam that is affecting hundreds of thousands of people. (Though it is getting fewer and fewer all the time since people are waking up to the scam.) We shouldn’t give a pass to the enforcers of the law to avoid enforcing the law. If that’s the case, then let’s all just go looting and claim, “The police have bigger problems.”
Monavie has had over 70 clinical studies and 18 have beed published so go look it up or tell your DR to look it up. & yes I have a testimonie too. I have a daughter with JDM and monavie with its anti-inflammatorys has removed the inflammation from her body..now her blood tests show normal…Did i say it cured her no but it did remove inflammation from her body.. Blood tests to prove it.. As with all disease they are all related to having inflammation and thats what monavie is so good for..its anti-inflammatorys. Get rid of inflammation and your health is better.. & i’d rather do that with something natural then some poison the dr gives u.. Here take this but it may cause anal bleeding ..ouch!
It’s not a weightloss product. The rest of Mona Vie’s claims are spot on. You tell me where you can get anti-oxidant equivalent of 5-6 servings of fresh organic fruit for three bucks. Thanks for your input though.
MonaVie is NOT certified as organic.
MonaVie is lower in antioxidants than an apple, a plum or a handful of berries.
MonaVie is about $1.50 an ounce, so if you drink the recommended 4 oz. a day it is $6 a day, or $2190 a year, per person.
Just as an example, Oasis Antioxia juice is higher in antioxidants and is less than 10 cents an ounce.
4 oz. of MV is the RDA equivalent of just one serving of fruit.
I have been taking Mon avie for 5 mo. and there are different bottles for different problems. But I take the green bottle referred to as Active and since I was on heavy arthritis medicine I was willing to try this. I must say that now I am not on my arthritis medicine and feel good. I only order as a member to get my price cheaper. I am getting crippled at the joints and I am not going to say it will stop my arthritis, but the pain is gone. Everyone is so interested in this for weight loss however there are different ones. You just need to focus on weather you want to take chemical medicine that affects your liver and kidneys or something natural.
I have been drinking Monavie for 15 mo. now. I love itIt has got me through some very stressful times, helped my joint pain, and brought down cholesterol about 30 ts. what u failed to note is that te new imun juice helps immunity, and I mix 3 different ones together. dont miss out on this product!
