Caralluma Fibriata


Caralluma Fibriata is a cactus found in India. Like hoodia, it is used as an appetite suppressant in weight loss supplements. Unlike hoodia, Caralluma fibriata appears to aid in the reduction of abdominal fat. In one study published at PubMed, subjects given 1 gram of Caralluma fibriata extract every day for 60 days and who were advised on healthy diet and exercise program had a greater reduction in waist to hip ratio than the placebo group who were given the same weight loss advice.. The study also showed better appetite control in the experimental group.

Contraindications: Should not be taken during pregnancy or lactation.
