Eat cookies, lose weight…

Nothing complicated here folks. The Hollywood Cookie Diet is simply a meal replacement plan in which you eat 4 cookies for breakfast and lunch and then a sensible meal at dinner. The diet suggests you exercise as well.

Fur bristling? Mine is and hopefully, you already noticed the BIG RED FLAG…

The Claims

The Real Deal (Rhetoric, Sales Genius and a LIAR!!)

Simplicity… replaces your first two meals with low calorie cookies that taste pretty good. This is no different from any other meal replacement whether it’s a shake, a bar or a cookie. (we’ll chat more in a sec)
Cookies… Doesn’t meet nutritional needs unless your sensible meal can make it up.

 

Eat cookies, lose weight and gain it back (AKA.. the problem with meal replacement programs)…

Sheesh, I wish it were that simple. Just eat cookies and lose weight. Well, you probably will at first because you have better caloric control over your first two meals. Unless you blow it at dinner, you might see 3-5 pounds gone in a week.

BUT… it’ll be back. Why? When you were a child, did you ever exclaim “When I grow up, I’ll eat candy for breakfast, lunch and dinner!” Obviously, you would grow tired of eating all that candy.

Same thing with cookies or shakes or bars… no matter how great they taste in the beginning, you’ll get sick of them!

And don’t forget about the lack of nutrients. Short on protein AND fiber despite their “high-fiber” claims. Yeah, you need around 25 grams of fiber per day and the cookies offer you only 12-16. That’s a lot of fiber to eat at dinner. The cookies are also lacking in vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants.
