Sensa is a SCAM!!! The product does not work, and they will send you over to a collections agency if you do not follow their GEMIC guidelines to the T. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

I've tried Sensa for five months and it doesn't work. Believe me,Sensa is in for a huge lawsuit, not from me but from someone who knows how to sue.

I am using Sensa for the 5th week now and have not lost a pound. I feel hungry within about an hour after eating which I didn't before using it. Now I know why. The MSG would do that. I hope I can get the next order stopped. I don't have a real good sense of smell so that would be another problem if that is what is suppose to make it work. The sales part was not misleading to me. I understood that if I did not request a refund before the first month that I would be charged for it for the first 2 months and then again for the remainder of the 6 months.

Whoever came up with that Sensa idea is pretty smart, basically a placebo that would make millions by tricking stupid people.

I am about 10 pounds over weight and I run 3-5 days a week so I figured Sensa would help get rid of the few pounds I needed to loose, but I didn't even loose a pound!

I have been using Sensa for the past two months. I have (had) lost 6 lbs with basically no exercise. This past week there has been a substantial amount of swelling starting with my ankles. I thought I had twisted my ankle but now the swelling has progressed to my hands and face and, I am sure, the rest of my body. Being that this is a weekend I can't go to a doctor, but I will be placing a call to him on Monday. I don't know if Sensa is causing this. I won't be using any more until I contact my doctor.

  This product has a form of MSG in it. That may be the cause of your swelling.

I'm glad I read this before ordering. This sounds like nothing but garbage and could be dangerous.

  I think thats wise, I would be very cautious of anything like this. I cant speak for diets but I would definitely try to just eat properly, get rest and exercise first. Even if there is a medical issue, drugs dont help either, or if they do, there are crazy side effects. Pills, diets, scams....they are all designed to lure us into this believe that we have no control over what happens to us and have to look outside. Its scary when you take the time to look at who is funding health information and medical research etc or how your insurance company determines your course of medical treatment rather than your doctor! just be careful....

My friends and I have been using Sensa for a week or two now combined with exercise, and have not had ANY problems at all. We've all lost at least over 10 lbs, and we're all feeling really good. So I can honestly say, it DOES work.

People amaze me. There is no "magic bullet". Besides,ANY weight loss product that advertises that you can eat ANYTHING you want to,and still lose weight,is a crock. If you believe that you can sit on your butt all day,and eat fast food and junk food only,but still lose weight,I suggest you have your head examined. It also confounds me that people will put up dangerous side effects to lose weight,and be "healthier". FYI:if it kills you,or permanently harms you,you might as well have stayed obese/overweight. All you did was exchange one set of health issues for another,one that has the potential to be even worse! If people used common sense more,there would be fewer scammers out there.

@ Murell- I have never heard of a pre-aid card but I really like that idea! Where can I can one of those? Denise

  They do not take prepaid card for payments becauce they can not charge you for the next payment becauce they know it is prepaid for up to a certain amount and can not contin to steal your money.

Thanks for your review of Sensa. I tried it, it did not work. Today, I went to my bank to get money to buy Amtrak tickets to see my son in Portland, and Sensa had deducted all but $11 from my account. I cancelled my membership in March, and still they deducted precious money from my account and refused to reverse charges. Does anyone know what sort of legal action I can take? I'm an unemployed single mother, and I told Sensa that plus the fact that if they didn't reverse charges, I would not see my son. They were quite rude, pompous, sleezy, unprofessional. Ugh.

  Best thing to do is file a complaint with your state Attorney General -- if a company is still billing you for a product you have canceled the state AG will try and get money back for you. Each state AG's office will take consumer complaints and try to get money back for their residents for free.

I've been using sensa for about 2 months now and i do have to say i've lost quite a bit. My pants are literally falling off of me and my clothes are too big. However, I constantly feel sick to my stomach. When I first started I got painful headaches and when I started month 2 more painful headaches. And everyday my stomach hurts. I can be fine and then I eat just a bagel or toast with sensa on it and then I feel extremely ill. I do not vomit but sit in miserable pain. It works but you go through pain to get it!

    FalN You might want to get checked out for gall stones, I got them years ago, from using Hydroxycut I imagine, but I would eat and be in intense pain. I was in the Navy and the docs just xray'd me and said I was constipated, but if you go to a real doctor they will send you for an ultrasound that will detect the stones. Ended up with a week stay in the hospital, no more gall bladder which apparently makes fats harder to break down for me, and about 2-3 weeks recovery time.

Within 30 days (not 60 as advertised) sensa charged me $96.13 twice! When I called to find out how to cancel this and stop the shipments the customer service rep was mean to me. She said, and I quote "Don't get mad at me cause you don't know what the f@%k is going on". How sad. The product also doesn't work.

    The rep also said that her Supervisor would call back within 24-48 hours. That never happened. I've shipped them all their product back, lets see if I get my money back.... I'm guessing by the way they've treated me so far, that it'll be a battle.

      If anyone has been charged by these people and used a debit or credit card contact your bank and let them know the charge was unauthorized. They should reverse the charge with no problem.

It always amazes me how people want a quick fix, as others have stated there is no magic bullet. Are you going to live on this stuff, what happens when you go off it? It will get costly. Eat sensibly and move, drink more water take multivitamin. Besides why put something in your body that is not FDA approved frightening!!!! It is ashame what advertisers and society does to people to make them feel so desperate... So sad, why can't we all except oursleves and be happy with who we are?

same thing here...I have used sensa for almost a month and haven't seem to lose weight but yet it stopped the craivings. my trail is gonna end in a few days and I dont know what to do if I should start paying and continue using it or just stop using this and return it.

Purchased 1st 2 months of sensa at GNC for 89.00. lost 5 lbs the 1st week, then nothing. I'm on the 1st wk of 2nd month. Hoping to lose at least another 5.. Need to drop at least 50 lbs. Belly fat is the biggest problem.. So far no side affects of using this. like I have read. Started filling out the on line order form then changed my mind after clicking "next". Even with no info provided they called every day for a week & sent emails to get me to try their product FREE.

It sounds like if you want to try this, buy it at GNC or Costco. I purchased it at GNC for $89 and it was buy one, get one 50%off. I bought one for myself and one for my husband. I also bought GNC's gold card for $15 which gave me 20% off the total cost. I am not looking for a miracle weight loss product, but something that will curb the cravings that keep me going to the fridge and pantry all the time. I hope this does the trick.

I purchased Sensa one week ago at Costco. I have been using it on "almost" everything I eat. I felt like it was not working because I did not feel full as advertised I would. But it did stop cravings between meals. I have not changed anything as far as diet or exercise. Perhaps just gave up my once a day snacking on dry cereal (Quaker Oatmeal Squares). Continued my glass of wine with dinner & ice cream for dessert 2 times this week. Since I had not changed anything, I did not expect to see results this first week. Surprisingly, I lost 3 pounds and .4% body fat. I will add Sensa to everything this week and drink more water (I'm really bad about this-I tend to go an entire day without drinking water). I will also add some walks to my daily routine. My goal is to lose 12 lbs. I am 49 years old and 5'4" tall. I started Sensa weighing 133.2. My problem is not weight it is the 32.4% of body fat. I REALLY need to start exercising to burn the fat. The weight loss is more motivational for me.

  Try some supplements like CLA, or doves dark chocolate ( only small blocks a day ) , there is differnt supplents that will help trim the fat ...

I found Sensa at Cosco and since it was much cheaper then their website I decided to give it a try. I have only been on it for one week so it is a little to early to say for sure, but so far I am totally surprised. I find myself eating half the amount (or even less) I normally would and still feel totally satisfied. In one week I have lost 5 pounds, and yes I know that is probably just water weight, it is still a start. Obviously I know that I still have to make healthier food choices and make it to the gym three days a week, but I was doing that before with no results.

Sorry guys but this I would recommend to everyone. I wanted to lose a small amount of weight. I am a very small frame and am not overweight but have problems with my midsection. I am the kind of person that will eat a full plate of spaghetti FOR BREAKFAST!. I only weigh about 110 lbs but still looked paunchy in certain areas. It works. They told me not to give up if I didn't see results right away and it did take about 4 months for this to start working. I ate regularly...cookies, pasta whatever and I lost exactly what I wanted to. I had to stop because my stomach started to bother me a little. I called them and they said a few people have a bit of a reaction to this but it's rare. All I know is...I recommend it to EVERYONE. I know I was eating less and my weight went to where I wanted it. I am back to my paunchiness now and am unhappy I can't use this again. But if you can DO!

Thanks for the Info, on purchasing the sensa at other locations besides the website, or over the phone from the sensa organization, Im going to be purchasing this product soon, and I will come back after a month to report my findings....

  I did the exact same thing! used an ADP totalpay card I use for direct deposit from work, and it was declined since it was prepaid. NOT. I'm not giving you anything else! This was a few weeks ago and since I've gotten a few emails from them asking me to try their product at a "special price" of 1.95 shipping. Hahahahaha.

I’ve been using it now for two weeks and it has help with my appetite. I have lost an average of two pounds in these two weeks. My goal is to lose 12 more pounds by June. I do exercise as well. I do smell food so much different and I get full with about three bites into my meal. It is working for me.

I did not go through the TV Infomercial for my Sensa. I went to Costco and paid 35.99 including tax and shipping each. I bought the first 3 months at this price during their special online offer. I am ready to try it.

My 84 y/o mother keeps inquiring about this Sensa product. I don't watch a lot of TV, so I haven't seen the infomercials. I decided to hit the web and came across this site. I now know that you can purchase at places other than the internet, which is good. I also haven't read a comment when someone was using the product and were totally dissatisfied. I will research a little more and contact her physician as well. Thank You All for your comments whether good, encouraging or bad, they have been duly noted.

Hi, my husband and I just bought a kit for $89.00 at Rite Aid. We have been using the sprinkles for a week now and have both lost weight. I am a compulsive eater and have found that I can eat a small meal with the sprinkles and be satisfied.

Thanks for the info re: Costco. Went to the official Sensa website and realized right off that ordering from the company would be a mistake. Still, there is some evidence it might work, so I'd like to try it. Am ordering from Costco with the discount.

You don't have to take the "free" trial, just buy at GNC and if does not work do not buy again.

  I've been on Sensa for 3wks and have lost 4lbs. I bought my product at Costco because I normally am an exercise hound but have been so busy lately I can't make it to the gym. The ingredients do not have any aspartame and are not harmful... I looked each one up by the way there is only five ingredients. It's not a magic bullet because to be healthy you still have to eat healthy. I say don't do the free trail just by from a store and return if you don't like it. It doesn't change the taste of my food. Good luck

After reading the ingredients for Sensa on LiveStrong's site, there is no possible way this could be any good for you--here they are: -->Maltodextrin -- which is Cornstarch available in ANY grocery store cheap, and it's a Genetically Modified food--in other words it's REALLY bad for you. -->Tricalcium Phosphate -- which is super-charged calcium; but if not taken WITH proper amounts of magnesium, it CAUSES arthritis, osteoporosis, calcified joints, calcification spurs/stones/cysts(possibly in brain)etc. -->Silica -- a food dehydrator -->FD&C Yellow 5 -- color -->Carmine -- another food coloring

I lost 100 lbs in six months and it is so easy. You simply eat less and take yourself for a 1-2 mile walk every day. Nothing else will really work...believe me, I've tried it.

    LeiLei, I did this too! I lost 75 lbs in about four months by making lifestyle changes! First, I fasted for a few days to "break" my appetite, which was already damaged anyway. Then, when I began eating again, I ate half as many times per day. Then a couple of weeks later, when I got used to that, I cut the portion sizes in half. Then when I got used to that, I started drinking more water, which almost completely cut out my craving for sweets and caffeine (probably should have started with that one!), and then when I got used to that, I started walking around my whole neighborhood every evening, pushing my baby stroller. I have asthma, so I can't do high impact aerobics, but the walking worked just fine! I went from 240 lbs to about 165 in four months time!

      I just wanted to congratulate u leilei, I was 280 lbs and i started eating right and walking about 2-3 miles a day.. i lost 70 lbs in about 7 months.. Then i got pregnant and gained about 25 lbs total. Unfortunately my daughter was still born at 33 weeks. I lost the pregnancy weight quickly mainly due to not eating bc of stress. now that the weather is warming up I started taking long walks with my new dog.. we walk at least a couple miles a day... I was thinking of trying sensa just to boost my weight loss.. but i realize that i can lose just as much if not more just following a healthy eating plan and regular exercise. I never looked at it as hard work and dieting... I love walking Molly around the neighborhood.. now we are even starting to jog a little! and I still eat pretty much whatever i want.. I'm just smart about it!

      I've been there and done that. My mistake and eventual weight regain was because I gave in to sugary treats. Specifically it was M&M's. Then I was right back on Oreo's and Klondike bars. Refined sugar is like a drug. Once you succumb it's like hitting rock bottom. Best to stick to healthy treats. Trust me on this and you will stand a fighting chance to keep your weight off. If "free" if EVER followed by a screen asking for your credit card number, you have found The Dark Side of the internet. Run!

It's a shame Sensa has not worked for most of you. I've been taking it for 3 weeks now and I love it. It has taken away cravings for all food and lets me make better choices in what I eat. I haven't had any cookies, cake, pies or candy for 3 weeks and I don't feel at all deprived. I feel full all day long and eat smaller meals because of it. If you have a problems with the stomach turn off switch and food is your main focus of the day, try this product. It works for me!

I been on this program four months. The first 2 months I gained 5 Lbs. The 3rd month I cut calories and exercised more to lose those extra 5 lbs. I have continued with the cut in calories and extra exercises and lost 3 lbs last week. Sensa's claims that you have to change nothing are false. When I got on their website and talked to a weight loss coach all I got were cut and paste answers from their booklet that didn't even address the questions I asked. Save your money.

I had phone in hand and decided I would google it and see what people had to say...I am SOOOO glad I did...TY for saving me time, money and frustration.

I've never tried this and I never will. All I can account is my person experiences. I went on a diet about 6 months ago. I cut out 90% of my meat and dairy, eating mostly veggies, pasta (whole grain), rice (whole grain), beans, stayed away from overly processed canned, boxed and frozen foods. I lost 10 pounds a month, going from about 265 to 245. No vitamin suppliments, no dietary supliments, I ate till i was full then ate some more, because i could. :) So just trying to say, don't buy into crud like this. I read how some of you made dietary changes when you started using sensa, and lost X pounds. Good for you! grats! but...it wasn't sensa, it was probably the changes YOU made. So, keep up the good work :)

  Thanks I almost gave in to buy, but after finding out I was type 2 diabetic I made some big changes in the way i ate and food choices started a little walking and the weight came off and my sugar is back to normal and has been.

I was considering ordering Sensa until I read this report. I'm glad I didn't waste my money!!

I have been on Sensa for 5 months now. I've only lost 7lbs, and I think that's only from my own exercise and watching what I eat, not Sensa. I exercise 7 days a week, 4 hours a day. Don't waste your money.

I have been using Sensa now for 2 months and guess what....... NO WEIGHT LOSS! I, too, am thankful I purchased this at a store where I can return it for a full refund. I saw a commercial on TV and decided to give their 1-800 number a call, Wow! PUSHY! Argumentative, then when I asked a couple of questions, the girl (Marcy) didn't know the answers and I could tell she was trying to quickly read through the brochures to find the answer. When I finally told her "No thank you", she wouldn't let me get off the phone. My husband came across the room and simply hung up! Bless him! Yup! Taking it allll back for a full refund. DO NOT waste your money!

This sounds like a scam. I am a physician and I understand this is not reviewed or tested by anyone. The reviews above look like a motley bunch - people who are satisfied, and dissatisfied, alike. What I notice is the comment(s) that state there is a recurring charge. Any company that does this is a rather shady venture. I would go through a reputable retailer, if you're bent on using this. I wouldn't go through the website, because you will end up with a bunch of unexpected recurring charges and some aggressive marketers on your tail. Best of luck. Don't order this!

I have been on Sensa since Tuesday (today is Saturday). I have lost 3 pounds! The most honest way I can say to look at this is go to their facebook page. Also, the cheapest route I found was Costco. It is $41 for a one month kit (they have all six months) and it comes with two shakers, 30 Quench packets (which I reccommend using, it adds energy), and a how to DVD. Good luck!

After reading coments and reading the fine print that appears at the end of the on line offer i agree that it is not honest advertising and it's quiet agressive. Free Trail is not Free.What surprised me was that although i never placed the order my information was collected and these people had the nerve to phone asking why i hadn't proceded with placing the order. Now even with more reason i want nothing to do with them.

How is it that a reputable outfit like The Shopping Channel can sell Sensa??? They say they research everything they sell and will not sell ANYTHING that is not acceptable. I succombed to that info but after reading all the negative comments I shall not be using it - ever!

Well why would they say it works? They can be in big trouble over this so why would they risk that. There is enough wrong with trying. Dont nothing works. Its a mind thing its up to you. U have to make a plan and jus do it!

Also check out the web site. That the top it states very plainly AND I QUOTE " 2 month supply" free. Down at the bottom it states 30 days free. So which is it!!!

I have severe arthritise in both knees and neck so exercise is a difficult animal to catch for me. I did eat sensible meals and took a placebo for 8 months and lost 80lbs. I then yo-yo'd back up 50lbs. I am about to try to get back on the sensible train again, this time I will try the Portion aspect more diligently and I have a new weapon. A recumbant stationary bike. Resolution anyone? Diet aids are all placebo's. If you need to spend a lot of money to get the gumption to lose weight then go for it. What ever works for you.

Lol. Let me get this right. Sprinkle Sensa on your food and you'll eat less? You can get the same effect with dried up monkey poop.

The Shopping Channel is hyping Sensa today as their show stopper for $197.49 (6 month supply). I need to lose a lot of weight and need all the help I can get (yes, I am exercising but food is the real problem). Anyway, I decided to check out the product on the web (looking for comments from users, etc.) and found this site. After reading the comments, I have decided not to purchase Sensa and just keep to my daily struggle. If I don't give up, surely I will start to see results.

  Like many, I've tried just about everything. The only thing that works is expending more energy than the calories you put in your mouth. However, you have tot ake in enough calries or your body thinks your starving and goes into stravaiton mode and you wont; lose an ounce. Eating a nutritious balanced meal plan is way easier said than done, but any program that shows long-term results AND has a support system in place can help. Weight Watchers is relatively inexpensive, the program works if you follow it, and they have loads of support in person and online. Other long-term programs that sell you portion-controlled foods and support also work, but you have to re-learn how to eat when you eventually stop paying for prepared meals, and I think you can only do that is to buy your own groceries and prepare your own meals. Atkins or Jenny Craig, etc. can help you jump-start the weight loss, but for long-term results, the research consistently shows that "diets" don't work; only a lifestyle change does.

    I know there are a lot of people out there that are having trouble with the nutrition part of dieting. I've had my own struggles with reaching my goal weight and maintaining it. Miracle pills don't work and when they tell you that you don't have to change your eating habits or your lifestyle, their lying to you. One thing i have found that works for me is a program called Body for Life. it helps with not only the exercise part of dieting but also the nutrition part. Their is also a guide to help you keep track of your workouts, your food intake, and your emotional status. If you can't get the motivation to lose weight not even this will help you.

Any "diet" that tells you anything other than "eat right and exercise" is a fraud. You can't eat like a pig and not do anything and expect to lose weight. How bad do you want to lose weight? Make it happen. Force yourself to have will power.

My understanding of the product is that it somehow either stimulates or replaces the satiation hormone that makes a person feel full. My problem has always been that I eat way more than I need because I like the taste of food, and I don't seem to get full until I eat a huge amount. It runs in my family. After using it for 1.5 days I had a 2.5 lb weight loss. This may have been partly due to other factors (water, etc.). it still made me take notice. I had thyroid cancer and since I have osteoporosis, my doctor keeps my replacement hormone level very low, so as not to leach calcium from my bones. Therefore, my metabolism is in the dirt. Very hard to lose weight and my appetite for food remains the same. I noticed that after I ate 2 slices of pizza, I was completely satisfied and did not even think about eating any more...I usually eat at least half of a large pie. So..... it does seem to be working for me. I bought the entire 6 months at one time. I did that so as to avoid automatic shipments and billing and it really wasn't that much more money. I think it was only 199. and nothing more - I already got the bill. Shipping was free and I did also receive a free box of "to go" packets. I really don't care how or why it works, just that it works, however, I had not heard that it was MSG - I need to check that out. I grew up on MSG and it never made me do anything but eat more, so I doubt that is the ingredient. The better it tastes the more I want. I can't even detect Sensa on foods I eat. I don't know why there is sweet or salty...would like to know. Anyway, I will keep you posted.

  My nephew has lost 85 pounds using Sensa. My Mom told me he was using it. I called him and asked him about it and he says it is the best thing in the world. It's possible, that Sensa is meant for those of us that are significantly overweight. I have ordered my 2 months supply and plan on committing to 6 months. I have tried the fast crash diets and do will with them and of course gain the weight back. So this seems to be slow and steady. Not all solutions work for everyone. There are flaws in all things and people. I love the idea of getting a seperate account for internet orders. Think I will do that. Wish me luck!

I got caught once with a company charging me like the people above, so NOW I have a card I can load with the amount I want to spend and when they try to charge another month, there is nothing there and they don't have MY debit card number. Works like a charm, use it for all internet purchases.

Before i lost my job I was on the Herbalife diet. Absolutely amazing! I loved it. I lost over 20 lbs Was eating better and felt amazing! If you want to try something with actual backing by md's. And has been in business for over 30 years! If you have nothing else to lose except some lbs then look into Herbalife. :)

Its a scam. I have been on sensa now for two months and nothing. Not one pound and they took out 89.95 three weeks after I canceled it. And they are refusing to send the third package. They have my money and I want it back. They don't have my weight loss, its just a scam.!

I think some people think that if you eat less You'll automatically loose weight! Not true and unfair! My whole family has always been a little bigger And the fact is, some of us can never be rail thin!!! I think those of you casting stones, should check the windows I their own House!!! I have always been and always will be a zaftig woman! I love me this way, and I walk 6 miles a day, I eat right and even tho I am "overweight" my dr. You may never be rail thin, but you WILL lose weight. I've lost 72 pounds in the past 8 months by eating less. No diet pills, no aids of any kind, just eating LESS and being more active.

    To Karen....or anyone who believes that you Can"automatically" lose wegnt if you eat less....this is the sad fallacy that has destroyed so many people's healthy weight loss success over the years. Lowering calories too much can and will cause your body to go into starvation mode. As protection against starving your body stores FAT and bourns muscle. While the scale may show a lower weight, you may just have lost muscle but gained fat. This in turn causes a lowered mdetabolism, meaning on the same caloric intake as you used to eat to 'maintain' your old weight, you will now gain. I have never b

      Linda, this is very true. I have been there and done that. People who eat less or starve themselves, will burn up their muscle tissue first then move on to depleting organs and bones of their nutrients. The fat is the last thing to leave your body when you starve yourself. How much you weigh shouldn't be what people base their lives on. A scale is just used to measure gain and loss. The actual number isn't relative unless you are obese. Use a tape measure, measure your inches. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. You can gain weight from exercise and muscle building and still lose inches. Muscle burns fat. Eat right and heathly and exercise in a healthy manner and you will feel great!

It's time to stop looking for the quick fix. You can't spend a few bucks and get a magic bean that will make the pounds fall off. Bottom line, you have to do the work. It's not complicated. We all know how to lose weight. It's a matter of accepting the bitter truth. If you want to lose weight eat a healthy diet and exercise. It's not rocket science.

  It's not salt, per se, but it is MSG. It "works" by making salty foods taste saltier (and more flavorful, just like all the fast food companies add to their foods, commonly labeled deceptively as "natural flavor"), and sweeter foods sweeter, so you "feel" full...it prolly costs under a dollar to make and advertise, yet sounds like they are raking in millions. Do a google for "sensa msg" and learn a lot. Or google "what is natural flavor". Disheartning.

After reading the "offer" closely, I see that they send you a two month supply but only 30 days is free! There's a statement that the customer has to pay postage to return the product so one way or the other you pay for one month. I'm sure they will automatically bill for future shipments and getting them stopped is probably a big hassle. Thanks for saving me money.

  I order the product in June this year, and I tried it a little but no changes and I went on internet to read review about thei scam, so I immediately called them to return I was email a RMA # to be put on the box, and with the address I was given I mailed it through USPS July 16th, I called two weeks after, I was told they did not receive it I called them about three times after, they denied that they did not receive it. then in November, I received a call form credit collector they said I owed them $99.95. I had to pay because I did not want my credit spoiled. To cut the story short nobody should buy this product, it does not work and they will still charge for it whether you return it or not. How can USPS lost a big box, they are bunch of fraud. Never buy, if I had know I will never buy it, also the product spoil the taste of your food so that you will feel nauseous and they call that loosing weight.

Just minutes ago I scrolled across an ad for Sensa and a chat box came up asking me to try the free trial for only $1.95 s/h. I began chatting with the rep but indicated I wasn't sure I wanted to try the product just yet. I wanted to do a littlr research before trying (bbb been burnt before)! She continued to persude me to take the offer even at additional discount. Her urgency really raised my atteneas. I declined her offer and told her I'd get back to her shortly. Once more she tried stating taht the offer was only good for this char call. I told her, "I pass" thanks. As soon as I disconnected and Googled "Sensa", this website popped up. Boy am I glad I followed my "Hound" instincts and refused all of her offers. I am on disability and would hate to have to fight to get my money back. I need every dime to live on. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to report bad products and awful customer service. It seems the new norm has become that we have to protect ourselves, since no one who suppose to protect us is doing it. This site saved me another headache I didn't need.

I was about to try sensa free trial & my internal alert button came on when i read the trial period fine print & saw the extra steps to return. I decided to google "does sensa really work" and henry's site came up. I'm very grateful for all the comments which confirmed my suspicions that sensa is a rip off.

I was going to try Sensa from the infomercial and found it at GNC instead. It was much cheaper!!! And, you don't have to buy as much. I have had it for a week and lost 2 pounds. I do feel fuller and don't want to snack as much. I know that I haven't given enough time. But, at least I am not scammed!!

Why are they allowed to continue advertising or even charged for false advertising? There are many desperate people who are looking for the magic bullet and would put themselves at risk and will do whatever it takes to lose weight.

I happened to be staying up late tonight and left the TV on and saw the infomercial. I was just listening but thought the product seemed interesting but a bit to good to be true so I checked via Google and thankfully this article popped up first. Thank you for posting this. I saw the infomercial this morning and said to myself wow is it true? I've had weight problems for 20 years and the only thing that worked for me was the ephedra based Xenedrine which is no longer available as well as REALLY BAD for you. So I Googled Sensa and came across your website and I'm glad I did. I will not buy into this scam.   This is a huge scam!!!!! When you order the "FREE" 30 day trial period, they automatically send you more than 30 days...thus making you HAVE to return something. They want the used or unused portion, and they make YOU pay for the return. Also, they highly suggest you get a tracking number..."in case they don't receive your package". Also, if you decide to order, be carefully. The website I ordered from had checked the rush shipping....so I paid more that what I thought I was supposed to pay because I did not UNCHECK a "rush shipping" box. NOTHING IS FREE ABOUT THIS 30-DAY FREE TRIAL!!!!!

Sensa is such a rip off. They charged me $80 making my bank overdraft after the "FREE" trial date "supposedly" ended. They took the money out a week early!!! I tried to call them over 20x and I never got an answer. I emailed them several times and they refused to give me the address so I could return my products and get my money back. They ripped me off $80 bucks and there is nothing I can do about it..

Sensa does not work. I tried it and it was a waste of time and money. I have had success with Fit for Life using Medifast. I lost 18 lbs in 2 months. But like any successful program, I have had to change my eating and increase my exercise.

  I not only became Ill from using it only 1 day, it gave me a migrane AND started my hot flashes, that were gone for nearly 4 months. As of today, I'm having them almost hourly. I would like to sue this company. I called them the day I tried it, within 2 hours I KNEW it was nutrisweet, or MSG type of a drug. I'm very allergic to MSG. This company should be put out of business for false and mis leading advertising.

When I called to cancel, they said OK but I was changed another $89, it took me 4 months to get my money back... another SCAM... so beware.

  Thanks for all the info. I was going to try sensa. After giving birth to my 4 month old I packed on at least 25 to 30 pounds. I did order the Pure Aciselect and it was supposed to be FREE and my credit card was charged $89. It took me several e mails and phone calls to get a refund and to make things worse before I canceled I didnt even get the product in the mail. My mom and Dad both ordered sensa so I guess we'll see how it works for them. Good Luck all to losing the unwanted pounds and for the advice.

I too have seen the commercials, went to the computer to order but just couldn't hit that final button. Tried using the live chat because I had some questions, they all said the same thing in that they only had a limited amount of information and to call the toll free number which I did, I was put on hold and never did get to talk to anyone. Decided to research online and found this site, glad I didn't hit that final button.

Thanks for all the information. Sounds like Sensa.com is a scam. However, if you have given them your credit card information and are unhappy, consider this... Contact your credit card company which was used for your purchase after you've exhaused all your efforts for a refund from that company. I use Capital One and so far I've been credited back every penny. Why? Capital One challenges the company in question and usually that company will not reverse the challenge if they are in the wrong because they don't want to have their credit card billing revolked, meaning it won't do them any good if they can't except credit cards. Enough complaints will result in bad companies losing their (i.e. Visa) rights. Remember to be honest with your credit card company, it could backfire if you lie. They do require a full statement of your complaint and what you've done to obtain a refund. Hope this was helpful!

I expect that people who have lost weight and regained it, did what I did .. you quit working out and stopped eating right.. its as simple as that folks. Stick to a program that works for you. Protein and basal metabolism control - boost your slow metabolism by as little as a 20 min work-out (a walk is a workout) no more than 30 mins after meals

I am so glad now I didn't and I feel so bad for the people who did get sucked in! Keep up the good work! (And Scott, what you said about crystal light-- is 'spot-on' because I gained weight, even though I was taking alot of water in! There is no substitute for eating right and working out and taking in less calories than you work off! The lemon with pure water and stevia DOES work better than colas and crystal light or any of the artificial drinks. Also if you mix fruit juice-- 1/2 with water for the taste, it works too!)

I too am in the process of losing weight, along with my fiancée and her daughter. The only save alternative sweeteners are Agave and Stevia. Nutrasweet & Splenda are horrible. We have bought a Total Gym from Walmart.com. Get the one that is like $325. WELL WORTH IT. Less than half the price of ones on infomercials. My fiancees 17 year old that plays football says that it works him out better than all of the schools workout equipment combined. We love it. Any questions? Also, must!!!!!!! Drink 1/2 your weight in water. DO NOT use crystal light or any artificial sweeteners. Try the Stevia packs (sold in Walmart), along with the real lemon juice sold at any grocery store. This mixed with water, will count towards you water consumption. Good luck!

  Beware of Stevia...it is a natural herb but must be used with care and caution just like any drug or herb...in large doses it has been known to cause sterility...in females and males...so if you want to have kids ever...stay clear of it!

I love this blog Much better than the last blog I read on sensa!

Scam or not, Effective or not, SENSA is yet another product representing the state of modern society. I'm sure the number of people that would sprinkle something on their problems to make them simply disappear are phenomenal. If you're having trouble with your weight, then manage YOURSELF. Have some self control and faith you'll pull through. Don't rely on anything else, you'll just be selling out.

First the reason I wanted to research sensa is because a friend of mine is talking about ordering it, and I am just trying to help her live better. Ok, I have read a lot of the comments and see that so many people have been through so much. I am one of those that was tall and thin till I had children, and then I just got lazy. Long story short, started having health issues, went to the doctor several times, he finally just said (out of frustration) no one needs more than 30 fat grams a day, and said the heart and body needs to exercise. Well it took me about a week but I began watching strictly my fat grams, began walking and after a while began running. Within six months I had lost 50 pounds, and I felt so much better. Moral of the story, live healthier, and be patient. I will refer my friend to this site so she can read for herself. Good luck everyone.

It's not about SENSA, or all the other wight loss methods "American Dreamers" came up with sinse the 70's. I am an American citizen - yet grew-up in Europe most of my life. In 1974 - the year Elvis died - my mom sent me to the US when i was 14 years old. The first thing I noticed on American TV/magazine commercials is how Americans always tried (from the beginning of "junk food") to loose weight without changing their diet and exercise level. Wake up Americans!! There is no weight loss cure if you sit on your dumb asses, not be active, and have a healthy diet!! NEVER WILL!! Thinking you can eat your crabby Jack In The Box and McDonald after work through the "drive-through" - too friggen lazy to even get out of your car - and loose weight with some new magic advertised crab US corporations come-out with year-by-year???? Dream on for another 5 cenuries!!

I just saw this infomercial last night. He's the same DR. who was touting Green Apple and Peppermint scents for weightloss in the early nineties. "You can eat anything you want?" I had to laugh; they showed that fat-laden pizza 75 times. It looked like cardboard. So, what; you sprinkle Sensa on a whole pizza and you're good to go? How grossly misleading. Scent therapy for weight loss is a stupid concept. Losing weight is an equation, plain and simple. If you put in more than you burn, you gain weight. Cut down on the addictive ingredients in foods, salt, sugar, fat, casein,(in cheese) to mention a few, exercise and eat 6 small meals a day. This also keeps your glycemic index within range and you will lose weight. If these scents really worked, we'd be snortin' the stuff. What a goombah this guy is. Buy more veggies, eat more raw AND it won't cost you 89.00.

Maybe it's just psychological, but I've lost 5 lbs this week using Sensa and have experience a marked decrease in appetite. It may not work for everyone, but I don't think it's a scam. I doubt that I will put on all the weight I loss if I stop using it. If you eat less for a long period of time, you reset your appetite. From WebMD: "Once you are an adult, your stomach pretty much remains the same size -- unless you have surgery to intentionally make it smaller. Eating less won't shrink your stomach, says Moyad, but it can help to reset your 'appetite thermostat' so you won't feel as hungry, and it may be easier to stick with your eating plan." I find Sensa to be a helpful aide. Losing a few lbs makes me feel less depressed and it encourages me to continue to take care of myself.

Hey guys....has anyone tried the HHCG DIET SPRAY....you only eat 500 cal a day, and I believe little or no carbs, and spray this HHCG iin your mouth before eating....is this any good for diabetics, and how long can you stay on this diet ,if you don't fall out from eating only 500 cals a day?

  As I have said over and over (and over) again, the miracle that they are trying to sell you, this spray or drops or whatever, is NOT what is making you lose the weight! It's the 500 calorie diet! You're starving your body and yes, you are losing weight...you're also screwing up your thyroid, your hormones, your brain cells, but hey whatever, go ahead and lose the weight.

    I just seen the infomercial on this and wanted to research on it.. wanted to know if it actually worked that good. there is not a cure for being fat unless you are rich and you can get lypo or something lol but we always look. eitherway I seen someone on here mention the HCG diet as well and that one i have tried and I ate way more cals a day than i was suppose to and i still lost weight but after talking to my dr he didn't really know anything about it so i have decided to stop it until as a doc he gets to research it. I have been and am now going back on Weight Watchers and while its not as fast as people think it worked! so try that... (I do not go to meetings and all of that i bought a starter kit on ebay and do it myself at home) Watching carbs and sugar intake and exercise works the best... good luck to everyone on their weight loss journey.

I didn't get scammed as much as others, because even though after seen someone like Patti Stanger on the informercial and thinking she would never endorse a fib, when I called and heard about the 'membership', I hung up. It's always smart to walk away from deals where you have to make a commitment to something you know nothing about. So I went to amazon.com instead and got 2 months worth for $50. I received it today and after reading the list of ingredients, I burst out laughing!!! It's just salt and sugar. I laughed because I was so excited, I ripped the package apart... so I most likely will have a hard time returning it. Back to exercising and cutting portions and being patient.

When I get scammed by a product or service that I invest any money in, I threaten these marketing #@%$#@*& with a visit from the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau Of Consumer Protection. (www.ftc.gov/bcp/) or just google them. It is a good start to getting their attention. Also note that if enough people contact the FTC, you might even get these @#$%$#@& shut down. Based on the comments that I just read from many of you, this could be considered mail fraud. Good luck I'm off to the FTC site.

So glad I read this page first had the number for sensa written down and ready to call but thought I'd do some research first thanks you saved me from a scam for sure !

I tried Sensa when it first came out and I had trouble remembering to sprinkle it on my food until I was usually half way (or completely) through the meal. I finally gave up and sent it back to the company. I did get a refund, but it took some doing. Needless to say I didn't lose a pound and am still trying. I finally decided to take the word diet out of my vocabulary and just try to eat healthier, but still haven't lost any weight.

I have twins that are in there 20's they were in Marital Arts all ther life and got away from it,one of my girls had a baby and gained more weight than she wanted.As I guess most women do so when it cam time to get rid of it they told her about this scam and she ask me what I though about it I'm her teacher in the Arts and I told her its a scam but told her she should try CROSSFIT trainning which she has and has lost over 20 lbs in 3 weeks,LADYS that's no SCAM try it you will love it and you'll lost more weight than you though you could I know I see my daughters everyday.

I eat low carb and it really works. I take one meal off per week where I indulge in bread or French fries but stick to low carb eating the rest of the week. I am 45 years old and only exercise once or twice weekly. I gained a lot of weight in the last few years but I started eating low carb a few months ago and immediately dropped 15 lbs and two sizes. I have kept the weight off. The key is to keep all your carbs healthy, lots of berries and green salads. Protein needs to be lean beef, chicken and fish. I avoid all sugar and white flour except that one meal per week I mentioned previously. Stay away from Sensa and other gimmicks. Stick to a long term diet and exercise plan that works for your taste and lifestyle!

I used the SENSA product faithfully for 3 weeks and gained 3 pounds. I ate whatever I felt like eating, just as described in the infomercial. SENSA did not curb my appetite. The only thing that works for me is sensible eating. When I called for a refund. They gave me half and asked me to continue trying it. I lasted another week eating a more sensible diet and had no weight loss. I did not have a weight gain either. Clearly the product did not work for me so I returned it and I am waiting for my full refund.

A scam don't buy this product

i just got sensa trial pack but its 2 months and i dont know how much they charged me for it the paper says $12.95 but my account ended up negative $140 so i got a new card but i think they can still get money from my account i hope not but i really hope sensa works for me because ive tried everything else and nothing helps i just waste at least $1000 in the last year on diet pills and the worst part is my husband buys it all for me so in the end when i get it then see comments like these i really feel like crap because i always tell him this time it will work ill be skinny by next summer and next summer comes and nothing plz some one tell what really works

  I got a personal trainer at the gym i go to, and i lost 30 inches total over my body in 6 weeks. 5 of those inches were in my waist, and i went down two pants sizes. Hard work at the gym with the trainer worked for me.

PLEASE! i am like most of us today on a very tight budget. however after an injury and three years, i have gained aprox 50lbs. I feel so bad about myself its not something I want to live with, so long story short I fell for the SENSA pitch. Its like pulling teeth to get a refund and it literally does not do anything !!!! I followed it faithfully and ate a 1200 calorie a day intake and i was starving always hungry and according to my Dr. my body was holding on to the fat since thats not the amt of calories a person is supposed to consume in a day. Then, I thought I should check out the real reviews. They all made me think this could be a scam but none of these people were like me, the injury and the fact that I couldn't work out like I used to, so maybe this is a solution for me. I just got off the "live chat line" trying to get a refund on the "try Sensa for free" scam. I was billed for 2 months worth of product. I guess it was my own fault. They give you 30 days to return the product. If you give the product a "Fair time trial" the gurantee expires. I was told they would give me a partial refund and I could keep the un-used portion of the product. I explained the product does not work and that's why the un-used portion is UN-USED and I don't want it. I totally agree, this is a complete rip off. I think someone already stated that's there no such thing as a free trial.

I am sticking by Sensa and saying it has worked for me....however I have lost very little weight...lol Let me explain.I use to have a ravenous appetite and trying to control it was like like trying to tell a starving tiger to not eat a steak in front of him. Being a woman, 2 weeks out of the month were like that for me, so 2 weeks I was decent, 2 weeks awful. I think my metabolism is pretty good, because the amount I was consuming I should have been huge, but my highest was 142. So two months into taking Sensa I eat probably a 1/3 of what I use to eat....I get hungry for my 3 meals a day, but if I tried to snack inbetween, I d have to gag the food down, cause the appetite is just not there. I have lose almost 4 lbs and I am confused as to why my weight lose is so little. In addition to sensa , since the weather warmed up , I hav been doing landscaping like a fiend, and even started using my exercise machine some. Perhaps it is muscle gain, but I have lost so few inches as well. frustrating! But I say Sensa is AWESOME, and its something with my 5 prescriptions I take daily and my overly high estrogen level, that are messing it up for me....but I'm sticking with it. SENSA is the ONLY thing that has EVER done what it says it will, and thats make you eat less with no side effects.

A friend of mine said she tried Sensa. She didn't get the results that she wanted but she did notice a bit of appetite loss. The bottom line is you can't eat any and everything you want to eat. Taking in to account calories, cholesterol, sodium and FAT you must watch what you eat. You need a certain amount of calories, cholesterol, sodium and fat but each person differs in the amounts. I joined Sparkpeople.com and through message boards, challenges and just monitoring my food intake with the Nutrition Tracker was able to know how much I was eating based on the content of the foods I ate. Yes I count calories and at times I do measure my food. Over time I have come to just know what the right amounts were for me. I still continue to input my intake on the nutrition tracker to make sure I am getting enough of what I need to lose the weight I want. Some say it's time consuming but if it's something you want bad enough it's best to put in the time to create a healthy eating LIFESTYLE. Dieting is temporary....healthy eating should be something you do for life. There is no magic pill that can make you lose weight. Eating right and adding physical activity is the only way. As we get older our metabolisms slow down so maybe more activity is needed as you get older. For those who thinks this works, consider the long term affects of what you are putting in your body. Do you really know ALL of the ingredients in Sensa? Good luck to everyone on the fight to lose weight.

Hey everyone, my father in law has been using sensa for 2 months now and has lost almost 50 pounds and hasn't had any problems out of it and he is 58 years old. Maybe it just depends on the person, I'm not sure. I ordered it and I'll try it and let people know if it works for me. I just hope all the bad stuff doesn't happen like everyone says.

Sensa does work. I have lost 10 pounds in three weeks. It curbs my appetite. I eat slower and don't crave returning for seconds. So far it's working for me.

BEWARE !The only weight I lost was the 89 dollars from my pocket to them. The free trial was not free as you pay for shipping. Secondly after a week I called to cancel. It took several attempts and staying on hold for around an hour each time until I got someone. I was told to send the product back which I did. Last month they withdrew the money from my credit card. When I called them , they said they never received the product so I had to pay. SENSA does not work, and they will find any way to seperate you from your money. If you want to give it away, give it to a charity , not them

I hate companies that prey on desperate people and the weight loss industry is the worst..I went for the free trial and went ballistic when I realized what they were doing. I found the phone # and called it until I got someone on the phoine and told them to stop it all now, I yelled and screamed until I was sure they understood. I watched my credit card carefully for the next 2 months to make sure I was not charged and also made sure there were no deliveries.I usually dont fall for this kind of stuff and abide by the "if it sounds too good to be true" then it probably isn't true...learned my lesson again!

Would like to hear from someone who have actually tried the product...DOES IT WORK?

All infomercials on TV are scams, no exceptions. In the past my wife and I have tried several products offered for incredible prices (kitchen tools, vitamins, etc.). Most of those products don't work or give minimal results - not the fantastic ones shown on TV. Worse than that is the fact, that without your consent they charge your card for five to ten times the amount advertised. These infomercials are made by the same type of people, who steal identities (credit card info, social security numbers). Never ever buy anything advertised in infomercials.

I got Sensa and tried it. After the 1st month - I actually gained 2 lbs. The taste is awful. The salty side is salt and the sugar side is sugar. It's like taking a tablespoon of salt and sprinkling it on top of a bagel. You won't eat it because it tastes awful. That's what this Sensa does - it ruins the food for you so you won't eat it... and then if you go on their site they give you daily meal plans - so you can't eat whatever you want after all. Biggest scam telling you it's in your head. What's in your head is actually you lying to yourself and making excuses not to eat properly and exercise. I found out the hard way $55.20 later - that was what I paid for my trial offer, but at least it wasn't the whole $89 plus s&h. I've since then joined Weight Watchers and lost 12 lbs.

All these Bravo Housewives and Patti from match maker are pushing sensa! Do they care that someone is getting rich off people who believe in them and want to lose weight! Puts a bad taste in your mouth!

If you are seriously too lazy to get up and walk and excessive and put forth an effort to impact your health, you are ridiculous. If you need help loosing weight then get off of your a"" and do something rather then eat. Nobody made you fat nut yourself. There is no quick fix other than eating healthy and exercising. So put down the doughnut jinny cause this product ain't about to make you skinny...

I don't think that a lot of people know this, but this is the same "expert" who in the 90's brought out a collection of special pens that you smelled during eating. They were exactly like the smelly markers kids have but they claimed to do the same as sensa. I guess he simply found something a bit less silly then eating with pens up your nose.

I just purchased Sensa at GNC and got $10 off by joining the gold club. I am going to try it because I have heard a lot of positive reviews. The sales rep at GNC says many people are coming back to purchase and have lost 30+ lbs.

If you ware interested in trying it and don't want to get roped into their scam, I suggest looking for it on Amazon or some other site. I ordered some last week and only paid $62.00 and no auto ship. It likely doesn't work, but this isn't the first time I have tried something and had that result....

What bothers me is that I just received my Sensa "free trial box" and like others have said, the ad said $89 if I decide to stay with it.. but the enclosure in my trial box says "you will be billed $118 if you keep the two month order" .. so much for $89... I cant afford that either. It is going back and my back is up, ready to fight it out with the credit card company if need be to stop this from happening.. and their return rules are very tight.. if you receive another auto order, they wont accept it if you mark it REFUSED and try to send it back that way.. And, if you get an ok to return unsused portion of trial box, you MUST have it back to them within 7 days.. they have done one hell of a job scaring the crap out of me.. Now we will see what happens.. I have used the product for 2 days now.. and each day I have developed a bad headache late in the day.. not sure what is causing it.. By the way, it is my understanding that there is a product in capsule form out there called Integra-Lean and it says that it curbs appetite and cravings.. about $30 for a month supply in a certain health food store.. not sure on the supplier

I told them the price on my packing slip was showing new shipments would be $118. They said 'This must be an error'. I dont think so, but will give them benefit of doubt. They lowered my trial to $45 and future ships to $54 each. If this product works for me, I am not sure I will stay with the company as I did find GNC online does carry the additional months if needed. They listed it as Month 6 down below the starter pak. I wish good results for us all. I am over 65 yrs of age, but I wont give up trying to healthier.

I almost sent in some money to an infomercial, but decided to look here first. Am I glad I did! I am closer to 60 than 40 and cannot afford to waste my money on scams. I knew it looked too good to be true!

I have 40 pounds to lose. I gained it because I live with 3 men who eat horribly. I lost this same weight 10 years ago and kept it off using only sensible diet and exercise: no plan, no hype, no program but my own common sense. In a moment of desperation, I ordered Sensa. I am familiar with Dr. Hirsch and find his work very interesting as an aromatherapist for 25 years. I was impressed at first. The Sensa tastants really did make me feel full when I had eaten very little. However, within a week I started experiencing a lot of the side effects other people mention: constipation (how does THAT help you lose weight????!!!!), tingly tongue, strange stomach pains. I stopped Sensa two days ago and started exercising more intensely and guess what??? I lost 2 pounds in two days! I will be returning my Sensa. I am prepared to lose some money for my desperate stupidity. Oh well....

Not only is Sensa ineffective but it can be dangerous.I used the entire 6 months and after having a great weightloss in month one, the last 5 did nothing. Here's what I did have, headaches, naseau, colon bleeding with to ER visits,& colonoscopy, stomach distress,gas, constipation..Here are the side effects just from Tricalcium phosphate(1 ingredient) headaches, nausea,vomiting, increased thirst, increased urination, decreased appetite. There is nothing natural about this product. The company lies about the side effects , they lie about the independent strudy and all of their "sucess" stories are paid! And told those people who call in? are paid and follow a script..I met one! Run don't walk the opposite way of this product.

  I did Sensa and I lost about 20 pounds in the first 3 months. My biggest problem was firguring out how much to use and the little boxes coming open in my pocket when I was at work. Other than that I had no side effects and it was effective for me. The only other thing I encountered (and it is something they tell you on the dvd to and website to be sure of) is to make sure to take your allergy meds if you have hayfever or similar allergies that can blunt your sense of smell. I had problems with losing weight during the summer when we had a terrible allergy season here, and I wasn't always good about my meds. BTW I called in as a testamonial to ShopNBC when they were showing it and I was NOT paid by Sensa, ShopNBC or anyone.

If you wanna try it without the auto rebuy plan.. go to eBay get 1 month for around 35.00-45.00 depending on the day. I won mine at 40.00 and I've been on it for 1 week. Its a mental game more than anything but for some... that's all they need. I hit a plateau in my weightloss, this was just what I needed to kickstart losing again. I lost 4 lbs in 1 week! Woo hoo

Bought it and returned it. These people are out for money. When you try to cancel online they offer to reduce the price several times before you can even get the information to cancel your order. If you don't cancel the trial you end up paying $89 I think for the second month shaker they send when you receive your sensa trial. If you cancel, you pay for the trial product and the price to ship it back. Plus you don't even get to keep the trial product so really you are left with nothing. Just money lost from a failed product you bought and then had to ship back. I have never posted a negative review about a product but I just think it is a huge scam. Really the best way to lose weight and have a healthy functioning body is through exercise and developing good eating habits. I'm going to stop looking for a "miracle product" and just try to live a healthier lifestyle. Sensa does not work. If you were to have a shaker full of a placebo instead of sensa, I'm betting you would have the same results. I think it's all a mind trick. Plus the repetition of using the product at every meal reminds you to eat less because that's what you are training yourself to think. Using the shaker= eating less

I just started using Sensa and i hate to say it...but it works... I am no marketing person for sensa... just a recently laid off consumer that has put on a few pounds... It curbs my appetite and makes me feel satisfied, if it is only bleached sea salt...well it works!!I have tested it by putting it on things i really love when i am very hungry...it does work...

I was reading some of the comments, and noticed that one of the ingredients in Sensa is silica. Another word for silica is sand, so these people are giving you something that can scratch and tear up your digestive tract while it empties your wallet. It's too bad I didn't Google this site before I bought this junk, but I found out about it in time before I sprinkled it on my food. I did take one pack of the supplements, which no one commented about as far as I know, having read half of them. Did anybody have a reaction to them?

  Taco Bell also has Silica in its food. Sand is a lot more common of an ingredient in food than you might think.

Nyoka, I agree with your comment, however, there are people like me that do not have time to properly diet, exercise and drink lots of water. I am in real estate. I am not rediculously overweight, only 20 pound seperate me from my goal but If you have the time to do that, great. Buf if you are like me that runs all day, doesn't have time to eat and only time to stuff my face, this product has worked for me. For me, it has curbed my hunger which is a huge considering running all day makes me starve and when I get home, I make up for lost meals. I also get home very late, so cooking is not something I want to do so going out and getting food is not so healthy. It's easy to sit behind a desk but when your constantly on the go for work and do not have the time, this is a great alternative.

  I agree with you, it is hard to diet. It is time-consuming to cook healthy and exercise. Not only do I have time-constraint issues, but I have major physical problems that don't allow me to exercise like others can. It's been very difficult as I've watched myself slowly gain weight. But I've taken control of the situation and started counting calories anyway. Instead of cooking each night and for lunch, we eat Lean Cusines and other frozen meals. We check the calorie count of everything we put in our mouths before it goes in. You'd be surprised how great tasting those low-cal frozen meals have become. I even get Skinny Cow deserts so I can reward myself with chocolate each night. For the weekends, we have purchased several low-cal cookbooks and we cook nice, huge meals for those weekends. We supplement everything with vitamins. In between meals, I drink a lot of tea so that I don't become hungry. In 6 weeks I've shed 13 pounds and without any real work. My husband has lost 15 pounds in the same time. And this calorie counting thing really works. We went to a burger joint this past weekend. Before we went, we looked the menu online and picked out a burger we could split, substituted melon slices for the fries, and we each had a very tasty lunch for only 530 calories. Talk about a great diet!

Sensa please, if you want something that really works and worth the money P90x or for startes Power90 if you stick with it and eat right you will see results fast. It's all about on how you eat, how much you eat and the when you eat. Five meals a day big breakfeast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and then something small an hour before bedtime maybe a bowl of cotteges cheese with some fruit. Don't call it a diet call it a life style change.

I just got through watching the SENSA infomercial. I am curious to know why the host of Millionaire Matchmaker would swear by it..did they just pay her to say all those things? If so that would explain why she has a bad attitude towards heavy people. This would make her a liar and I for one will not order nor will I watch her program anymore.

I'm really not surprised that it's a scam. Scientifically proven scam or not, the overly aggressive marketing is almost proof. Of course, if it works, he'd be killing his own product. Anyway, what makes me mad is that it was advertised on the Washington Post. The only reason I even researched it was because it was advertised among real articles of news, and it took on that journalistic facade as well. I know that advertising is a private endeavor, and many would say that WP shouldn't be held responsible for their advertisers' claims, but I'm still really disappointed. It also makes me bitterly (re)aware that even the news is about making money.

The ingredients are malodextrin (a sugar) 2 anti-caking agents and food color. On some packages it lists "natural and artificial flavors" which can mean up to 60% MSG. I can't imagine how any of this can help you lose weight. I remember reading how HSN was going to carry Sensa. But their vitamin guy, Andrew Lessman threatened to take is products to sell elsewhere if they signed up Sensa. He wrote a long and interesting blog about what a scam Sensa is that he would nor even want to be associated with them by selling on the same shopping channel!

I can only re-iterate what most others have said here: don't waste your money. I gave up on this stuff after only 2 weeks as I could tell there was no benefit from it and I wanted to request my refund well in advance of the "deadline." I had no trouble getting them to refund on the credit card and was not billed for the second month. I saved all the shipping packaging and shipped it as required, but made sure I sent it so that I got a signature that they had received it. I've been caught off-guard by these "free" offers before. Like any of these weight loss programs, if you read the fine print, it says you need to watch what you eat and exercise. I think that says it all. I don't do that well so I carry around a lot of extra weight, but one day....

I have been on Sensa for a month now and have actually gained a couple of pounds. I bought it from ShopNBC. I am going to give it another month to see what happens and if nothing does, I am going to return what is left. I sure wish I had checked this site before I ordered. Like all of us, I had wished with all my heart that it would work. BTW, like someone else had noted in the comments....a lot of swelling in the hands, lower legs and ankles.

WHAT A SCAM! I've been using it for almost 2 months now and haven't noticed anything happening. The only reason I kept it and continue to use it is because I already paid for it and wanted to really test it out. Luckily I bought thru ShopNBC so no problem with the credit card issues like everyone else is having. I do Weightwatchers and have for 3 yrs now and trust me that's the way to go. I have an extremely hard time losing weight and Weightwatchers is the only thing I've found that really works. I guess you can say this Sensa was an experiment just so I could let you all know ...DON'T BUY IT.

WOW! I am so glad I did not order this stuff. I couldn't get passed the fact that they didn't tell you what "natural" ingredients are in the "salt". I am a mother of 4, most recently had a set of twins and am now bigger than I have ever been . I have been working out, joined WW online, and when I can't make it to the gym, I do Body Gospel by Beachbody or the Wii Fit Plus with hand weights. This should work..... Stick to the saying" if its appears to be too good to be true, it probably is"

Thanks for the review on Sensa. I am always suspicious of any weight loss method that says that you don't have to exercise or watch what types of foods you put in your mouth. LIke everything that's too good to be true, I did my research. Thanks for posting about this.

Thank you Health Hound! After googling Sensa & Healthe Trim this morning, mostly because I've trained my brain to research the "too good to be true", I happened upon your blog. Your writings reminded me of what I already know to be tried & true. As a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member (lost 59lbs, maintained for a year then gained it back after two pregancies in three years), changing habits and making healthy decision isn't easy and some of us need help (like in the form of a group such as WW); however, it is all about eating the right foods, watching portion sizes, drinking enough water and leading an active lifestyle. I'm going to get right back on it today!!!

I have not tried Sensa. I just happened to notice that a woman in the commercial is the same woman in the same bikini in the Zumba fitness commercial. Now that I have read this website, I WON'T be trying Sensa.

Here's a safe tip for anyone that wants to try this product but feel that it won't do what it promises or that there is a scam behind it - go & purchase a pre-paid credit card to place your free-trial order. if it is a scam then you will not have been out of the $$$$..... On a prepaid, they won't be able to run payments through unless you have that balance left in there for them to access.... food for thought!!

Gosh I'm so glad I didn't order, I filled the whole thing out but my husband said it sounds like a scam just like the Acia Berry Scam, I did that and got scammed big time. Thank you for this site. I'm so thankful I didn't push tht send button.

I ordered it and was told I had 30 days to try it. If not satisfied I could return the nused portionat no cost. If I did not return the unused portion my card would be charged $89... Well 14 days later my card was charged and over drew my acct. It hasn't worked for me.. Makes me sick at my stomach also...

I just watched the informercial and was extremely intrigued because I only need to lose about 20lbs of baby weight . I was even more impressed with the quality of persons validating the effectiveness of Sensa (e.g. a Cardiologist and the MatchMaker lady. And the lady from Extra). I even went as far as to call the 800 number and give my name. Thank God I did not give my credit card info. Although somewhat skeptical, I was all set to do a "free trial" until I heard the representative's voice and demeanor (if its possible to "hear" someones demeanor). I began asking more specific questions about how Sensa works. He instructed me to contact Customer Service. I did so, but they were closed. I am so happy I decided to go to ask.com to see what the buzz is about Sensa. My next step was to find out if Dr. Hudson is really a Cardiologist practicing in San Fran. Thanks everyone for your comments. NO SENSA FOR ME!

I am freaking out now I orded for the first time sensa on shopmsn, does that make a difference on getting your money back since it is through shopmsn. help!!!

  If it were me I would threaten to sue because they lied on national tv that it was reviewed by the Endocrine Society- the Endocrine Society should sue too

    Shop MSN will probably refund your money. You'll have better luck going through them then through the Sensa company itself.

Thank you for your reports-I am so sick of everything being a scam!!! Thanks to sites like these not everyone has to fall into it! This needs to be stoped! If anyone has any ideas on how- I'm IN!!!

Wow! I came this close to ordering - I mean one click away! I had to delete my credit card number and name from the box because something told me "Google Them!". Thank goodness for your site!
