Is Healthy Trim (Healthe Trim) Really, Well, Healthy?
by Henry Hound on May 12, 2010
Healthe Trim’s nationwide radio ad campaign claims that you can get “High School Skinny” by taking 2 capsules on an empty stomach 3 hours before breakfast. The idea of deferring breakfast seems counter to conventional weight loss wisdom, but Healthe Trim has an impressive array of radio disk jockeys who claim to have lost as much as 71 pounds while taking the product.
The pack has sent in several requests for an investigation, so I decided to pick up the scent and track down the real story. My findings didn’t exactly come up roses…
|
The Claim |
The Problem (It’s Impossible) |
| The Healthe Trim website says you can lose weight without changing your diet. |
This is just insulting. You cannot lose weight without changing your diet. If this was true they would not even have to advertise. |
|
The Claim |
The Problem (Potentially Harmful Ingredients) |
| Healthy Trim claims to not cause harmful side effects. | Product contains Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA). On May 1, 2009, the FDA issued a warning for consumers to stop using a competing product, Hydroxycut (a product containing HCA), because of reports of liver failure requiring liver transplants in some cases. |
The Pack Is Not Happy…
Based upon comments on forums, complaint boards, and on this blog (please see below), Healthe Trim customers don’t appear to be losing weight. I am not finding as many customer service issues as other products I have reviewed, but enough to know that they do some creative billing.
In short, it appears to be yet another one of those over-aggressive marketing organizations that I love to sink my teeth into.
So What Can You Do to Lose Weight?
Well, “not changing your diet” simply isn’t going to cut it! I wish I could snap my fingers and make you, “High School Skinny”.
The truth is that you have to change the way you eat and get the right kind of exercise.
Healthe Trim also claims to reduce cravings (kind of weird since you don’t have to change your diet). This is also something a pill won’t do. But a lot of my pack has found that cravings are often caused by eating the wrong foods. If you start eating the right foods, most cravings go away on their own.
There is a great alternative to Healthe Trim that my pack loves. Unlike Healthe Trim, this program is not scam. It’s a 100% free report I’ve put together that teaches you several proven methods to lose weight. In the Health Hound’s opinion, I would say that it’s a no-brainer not to at least give this free report a try.

“Henry,
Great download! I am a real skeptic – especially with downloads, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by your write-up. It makes sense! A friend recommended Sensa and after reading your site, I am (once again) too skeptical to try.”
Thanks again,

June 25, 2012 AT 2:54 pmHorrible company, So, I bought the pills and you automatically get enrolled in their autoship program. I called to finally get it stopped, I just got another bottle today, I asked how I could go about returning the unopened bottle, they said the 30 day money back guarantee only applies to the FIRST 30 days. What kind of company is this? where you are not able to return unopened items? Not one I would like to do business with. The only place you will see this information is under Terms & Conditions you have to click on to actually read. THIS is a copy Healthe Trim Total Satisfaction Guarantee. TOTAL LIE, this is NOT a total Satisfaction Guarantee, if you can not return unopened products!! Healthe Trim Total Satisfaction Guarantee If you are not fully satisfied with Healthe Trim, you may return your first bottle within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, less shipping costs. All bottles purchased and requesting a refund must be returned. If multiple bottles are purchased in your first order, only one opened bottle is eligible for a refund. Unopened bottles from your first order will be refunded only within 30 days from the date of your purchase. Each customer is allowed one refund, and the refund policy only applies to the customer's first order. Refunds will not be given on reorders of Healthe Trim. No unopened bottles from repeat orders will be refunded.

March 15, 2012 AT 8:12 amI'm a very healthy, active person still serving in the military Reserves. I enjoy the outdoors, sports, eating right and occassionally reward myself with a good burger, steak, etc. As many people know losing that last 6-7 pounds can be difficult. So I thought I would try something new to help push me over the top. Well, after more than 45 days using Healthe Trim has had no effect on me. No energy, hunger controls and have only lost 2 pounds, and I believe that was the result of the cold I had.

February 27, 2012 AT 7:28 pmToday was my first day taking healthe trim. 1 pill in the am, one after lunch. Followed the directions just as they say, and no headaches, no nausea, no jitters and not hungry. Obviously since it's my first day I haven't lost weight but did workout, as I always do. We'll see how the weight loss goes with time!

February 12, 2012 AT 6:05 amI have been on it for two days now. I am a very active person. I am also at the end of my first month of INSANITY. Which is awesome! Im taking the pill for the extra boost. Yesterday I felt a boost of energy almost 15 min later. my appetite had changed so drastically, by 9pm I realize I had only had a bowl of whole wheat cereal @ 7AM. & even then I still wasn't hungry. but I will say that few hours after taking it, I had a mindgrain which didn't let up untill I got up & started moving which is the last thing anyone has the strength todo with a mindgrain. And I was wondering how I was going to actually lose the weight, well I guess it would be in the restroom. I felt like all my organs were going to go through the floor. I know no one likes talking about this sort of thing, but I decided to put it out there. Because if this is indeed a side affect, its good to know when to take the pill or maybe that you don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when this feeing comes apon you, if so, I hoPe the nearest restroom is decent.

February 2, 2012 AT 8:06 amIn the 1990's I lost 17 pounds (im 5'3") on Metabolife with a no carb high bacon diet. I am now 44 and looking for what I enjoyed as my miracle pill. However at 179 pounds my blood pressure is up. I worry about many of these pills. I have to work very hard to convince myself not to purchase a pill, I loved the energy I had I always felt on my game. I explained it as a anti depressant, I have never been on them, but the burst of energy and happy feeling was great! I also was always (echem) in the "mood". I assume from the stimulant. Thank you from me and my children to more than once talk me out of a pill. My overall health is more important and feeling lazy gets me web surfing not walking like I should be!

Less food can be put more bad physique and harmful to your body inner strength. So please be cautious about your body not for the healthy trim or something else which is just useless ....!

October 29, 2011 AT 7:48 amOkay so I read all the comments and I see that this product has different effects on everyone. I have been taking healhe trim for a month now and have lost twenty pounds. Okay so here's hhow I do it. I take one pill at 5am when I wake up drink two cups of water. I get ready for worwork. Then at around 7:30am I eat a yogurt or an apple or a banana or even a protein shake. I then consume more water afterwards. At 11:45 am I take my second pill. Then around 1pm I eat a nice big meal consisting of meat, salad, sometimes white rice, sometimes even pasta. Pretty much whatever I want. Afterwards I'm stuffed because the pill really does curb your appetite. I go back to work drink more water. I go home and I'm still full of energy so I do my taebo pt 24/7 workout for 30mins sometimes I do an hour. I eat a very small dinner dinner sometimes I will have a protein shake with yogurt, bananas and strawberries. Sometimes a bowl of cereal with bananas or a sandwich on wholewheat bread or some fish and salad. Oh I also use chia seeds which is amazing. Sprinkle them on any thing you eat and you will feel great. So overall the healthe trim pills are not magic pills but they do give you loads of energy but not the jittery kind. And they do help curb the appetite. I've even taking them when I was sick with a terrible cold and it went right away after two days. Oh and remember you can't drink coffee, eat chocolate or have artificial sugar while using this product as it will not work. If you folllow the directions you shouldn't have a problem. I can go on and on about how wonderful this product is because I feel amazing. I still have a long ways to go but I'm happy I found something that works.

March 7, 2012 AT 8:40 amHey Terron I know you think that this pill is working for you but honestly from what you say you do on a normal day to day basis is going to make anyone "high school skinny". Your doing the right things all on your own, thats why you lost twenty pounds. Your doing great, keep up the good work and ditch the cost of the healthe trim. That's just my opinion....

October 17, 2011 AT 12:52 pmI took my first supplement of Healthe Trim this morning (2 pills, as directed)...and I feel like I'm going insane. For someone who already struggles with an anxiety disorder, this certainly does not help my case. Sure, I'd love to lose weight, but I also don't want to lose my freaking mind. Ann's experience with HT is almost identical to mine; I had a full blown panic attack just two hours after taking the supplement. Tight chest, nausea, and an overwhelming sensation of dread. I took two Xanax and still feel shaky and uneasy. I will not be taking anymore HT. Diet and exercise may take longer to shed the weight but it's better than feeling like you're dying. (I will concede that my experience with Healthe Trim may be slightly extreme due to my predisposition to panic attacks.)
ReplyJaclyn says:
March 11, 2012 AT 1:06 pmI agree with you. I just took Healthe Trim for the first time this morning and I am totally regretting it. Not even five minutes after taking it I started having a panic attack and could not stop shaking. I thought I was going crazy. It is the worst feeling in my life. I took the pill about 6 hours ago and still am very jittery and shaking. I rather have it take a little longer to lose weight the right way then feel like what I feel now. It is not worth it. (If you do try it I don't recommend being alone because you don't know what will happen.)

I don't wait 3 hours to eat breakfast either and I have lost weight and feel great. I take 1 pill an hour before workout, workout for an hour, then I drink a protein shake or a light breakfast. I have been taking Healthy trim for about 6 months now and I will continue to take it to get me a jump start in the morning before workout.

September 27, 2011 AT 6:58 pmI am not going to say that this product does not do what it says it will do; as I lost 8.5 pounds in 2 weeks. I too was sucked in my the radio adverts and ordered a bottle to give it a try. I took the product as directed except I only took one pill in the morning and one pill in the afternoon for the first week. During the second week, I began taking 2 pills in the morning and one in the afternoon. I had no problems, issues, side effects at all. During the beginning of the 3rd week I started having trouble breathing. I felt as if I couldn't get air down in the bottom of my lungs and began experiencing tightness in my chest. I thought if I went back down to the one pill in the morning everything would go back to normal. Well... that was not that case. The breathing issue and tightness in my chest did not go away and while I was driving to work I began to expereince out of control heart pulpitations. I could feel my heart beating in every part of my body... all of a sudden I couldn't catch my breathe and was breathing excessively to try to calm down and get air in my lungs. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful- I pulled over into a parking lot and got out of the car. While stepping out, I lost control of all of my limps and muscles in my face and collapsed to the ground. I just barely reached my cell phone and dialed 911. It was very difficult to speak because of the numbness in my face. I had gone unconsious by the time EMS arrived. I was admitted into the hospital where they said I suffered from an anxiety attack; which from what they told me was very common with the diet pills (HT) I was taking. I had nothing to worry about.. I was going along my day as normal until my heart went out of control. I have been out of the hospital for 3 days not and still do not feel right. I have done a lot of research since and found that the heart pulpitations are a "normal" side effect of these pills. There were other forum I found with similar stories to mine. While I enjoyed sheading the few pounds... I would have to say I value my life more. I could have not only killed myself that day, but others who were on the road around me if I had not pulled over. I would not recommend this product to anyone after what happened to me. I understand everyone is different- so if you are considering this product I suggest you consult your doctor and do some research prior to doing so.

August 29, 2011 AT 8:13 amI have been taking HT for 2 months now and I have not lost any weight. I'm 5'9" and 174. I initially lost about 6lbs, but quickly put it back on. I was taking 2 pills in the morning, and eventually tried the extra one pill in the afternoon. It did increase my energy at first and did suppress my appetite. But I found that my stomach would feel swollen after taking the HT. A very uncomfortable feeling. So I cut down to one pill in the morning and one in the afternoon. I have been drinking only water every day...6-7 16.9oz bottles. No matter what though, I could not get rid of my late night cravings. It's very frustrating.

August 16, 2011 AT 11:52 amNo diet or suppliment is right for everyone. I have been taking HT as part of a personal lifestyle change. Always "thin" I was feeling very unhealthy and gaining weight in my stomach that I couldn't seem to lose. HT was not the cure, but certainly helped. I run 3-4 miles in the morning and take it before I leave. It gives me energy and I'm really not that hungry. By the time I run (6am) clean up, get the kids ready and prepare for work, I am able to eat if I want. I usually drink a shake (banana, strawberry, 1% milk, and protien powder) It runs around 350-500 calories and gives me the energy/nutrients I need to get to lunch. I eat normal lunch and dinner but HT has helped me to decrease my portions. I was 6' 2" 187 when I started. Today (1 month later) I weighed in at 176. I feel fantastic! Again, it takes more than a suppliment, but I like HT as a part of my movement to become healthy. I will, however, be looking into the effects it may have on my liver. Thanks for the tip. NOTE: It recommends two each morning. Most mornings I only take one. I also drink a LOT of water. 8-10 glasses a day.

August 9, 2011 AT 10:36 amHi all, I am a certified sports nutrition specialist. Anything that says do not eat breakfast is a bad idea. Eating a healthy breakfast fuels you and gives you energy which in return helps you to burn more calories. Nothing can be better than a healthy diet and exercise. It's the only proven long-term weight loss system. It is okay to supplement but only along with your healthy diet and exercise program and do your research on your supplements. And anything that promises quick weight loss is unhealthy and a scam. People have come to me asking about this product. Consult your doctor and a specialist. We are trained professionals, and part of what we are trained in is recognizing fad diets etc. Hope this helps.

November 30, 2011 AT 11:11 amI have been taking Healthe Trim for almost 2 years now. When I first started taking them, I lost 35 lbs in about 5 months. It was not a rapid weight loss and it forces you to change your diet because your appetite is curved. I don't think it is a miracle pill, but it does give you the boost you need to start losing weight. You do still need to workout and eat right. I had tried in the past numerous times to lose weight and was unsuccessful. I have had a baby and it was very hard to get the baby weight off. Healthe Trim gave my body the kick start it needed to lose the weight. I continue to take it to maintain my weight. I don't have any adverse effects from it and I get a healthy boost of energy every morning. For all of those who are saying "anything that says don't eat breakfast isn't healthy", it doesn't say don't eat breakfast. You just can't eat for 2-3 hours after taking the pill to allow for maximum absorption. I would recommend this pill to anyone who needs a kick start to losing weight!
ReplyAndrew says:
August 5, 2011 AT 6:24 amGives you lots of energy and makes you feel warm and hyper (like 5 hour energy). I drink 2 Liters of water before lunch so no headaches. I think the water helps to suppress hunger, and so it is really the smaller lunch (because you are full of water) and skipping breakfast that seems to make you lose weight. I still have massive dinners. 6'4" and 230lbs.

August 4, 2011 AT 5:14 pmI took healthe trim for a month-ran out. I'm going to buy more. It was good in helping my cravings and at a meal time instead of eating 3 plates I only ate one. Never have been able to do that on my own! i lost 15 pounds in that one month. It helped to take one pill in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. Gave me energy without feeling too jittery. Drinking lots of water does help. There is an ingredent in Healthe trim that makes you thirsty and so if you dont drink enough water that is what causes the headaches. Good luck to anyone who tries it. My advice is follow the directions COMPLETELY.

I weigh 140#, am 5'5" tall, and I exercise 5 days a week - 2 days only a 2 mile run and 10 minute ab - the other three a 45 minute workout or one hour class @ the gym. I had hoped to see results b/c I have been dieting and exercising for , well - forever! and since I hit 50 years old last year the pounds just started coming on. I weigh more than ever. I am not completely discouraged - after all its been less than a week. But I sure hope to see results soon - or I won't be buying another bottle. BTW - I do feel a little Nauseous - will try drinking even more water (is that possible?). also - the first few days my appetite was curbed all day - but the last couple I find I'm hungry at night again. Tried taking the pill 1/2 hr after lunch and couldn't fall asleep at night. not sure what to do about that!

June 29, 2011 AT 8:54 amWow so wish I would have found this information before I ordered HT. I received it a couple days ago and tried it yesterday. I'm 148# eat reasonably well and exercise five days a week. I was just looking for some help to loose the 20# of post-baby weight I can't seem to drop. I took two pills in the morning on an empty stomach and drank a few glass of water as instructed. About two hour later I became very jittery, my heart was racing and I felt really nauseated. I ate breakfast although the last thing I felt like doing was eating but I was hoping food would reduce the side effects I was experiencing. Unfortunately it didn't. I couldn't concentrate and felt a lot of anxiety and eventually left work. On my way home I had a hard time driving due to the jitters and dizziness I was feeling and actually had to pull over two because I felt like I was going to pass out. This horrible feeling lasted 8 hours yesterday and I felt like I was going crazy. I had no appetite all day not even once the anxiety had subsided but this really was not worth that. I know the bottle says you can start by taking one capsule in the morning but I wouldn't want to have even half the reaction today that I did yesterday. I'm sending my bottle back today and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

June 28, 2011 AT 10:51 amI started taking Healthe' Trim in November 2009. I weighed 272 pounds had a BMI of 41%. As of today 6/28/2011 I weight 164 pounds and have a BMI of 18.44%. I have been on Healthe' Trim for the entire time. I will note I do work out 6 days a week and maintain a very low calorie diet. The thing I notice about the Trim is it gives me energy and does control my cravings. If you are considering the product, try it, but you must use it EXACTLY as instructed.

I weighed my self yesterday and I am now weighing 292. I have lost over 25 pounds in a little less than 3 weeks. Of course, I am a male and with men, the weight comes off twice as fast as with women. I have High Blood Pressure, and Heart Disease and my doctor has told me that Healthy Trim is fine for me to use. I have completely stopped drinking Soda and Coffee and I drink a lot of Gree Tea and water. I do literally no exercise and I feel great.

And its FREE(: But I babysit and they lady i babysit for is a nurse and her husband is an officer in the navy and they recommended that i take "Oxyelite Pro" with diet and exercise and green tea supplements. When I was taking it, I felt tired all the time so I didn't feel like exercising. So I stopped taking it. But I still have like 3 bottles of it left so I took them again this morning, and as I am writing this comment, I am just waiting for the nausea to subside, I believe, is the result from taking the healthe trim again. June 9, 2011 AT 6:01 amI started taking HT about 2 weeks ago. I only take one pill a day in the morning with a glass of water. I can tell my appetite has gone down a little, which could just as easily be in my head. I've gone down a few pounds, about 5 in 2 weeks. Yesterday I took my usual one pill, ate my lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner. Then I hung out with some friends and had a couple of drinks, nothing heavy, but I blacked out! I would almost feel like something was slipped in my drink if I hadn't been at my own house! Has anyone had or experienced any kind of black out? My boyfriend said I was sleep walking in the middle of the night too! And today at work my head feels terrible!

For those who work out and watch their diets give this a try. For those sitting on their ass in a coffee shop every morning, yes I have been that person at 7 am ten hit the office. Do your self a favor your body is a temple try and do something better for it rather than looting it with pizza, fried chicken, french frys, fast food no big sized, coffee or energy drinks. May 7, 2011 AT 8:58 amI think we all need to realize that a pill will not work the same for everyone. If I may point out a few things: 1) I agree, it can be dangerous, see a doctor and do some research on it 2) If you hardly drink any liquids and you start Healthetrim and you drink the recommended amount of water, you may gain weight at first (duh, water weighs) 3) NOT EVERYTHING WORKS THE SAME FOR ALL PEOPLE 4) Sometimes a pill shouldn't be used for long term use. I just got Heallthetrim to help me get started. The weight I am at restricts some work out routines, particularly running and walking. I'm using it to get me started. 5) A lifestyle change is always necessary

May 13, 2011 AT 3:42 pmAs far as some of the comments about exercise and food moderation is the key 2 weight loss..of course it is..but 4 those of us who just can't exercise more than 5 minutes without getting tears is our eyes and being crippled for 3 days after attempting physical activity..the only thing we can do is watch what we eat VERY VERY carefully..even then our bodies won't burn any fat unless we exercise. This is extremely frustrating! I, for one, can't even be one my feet for more than 10 minutes without crying. I have begged and pleaded with all of my doctors 2 help me with losing weight..eventually I ended up w a very disappointing answer for my situation..on top of all my other health issues, I have Pancreatitis and Non-Alcoholic Liver Disease. Those r 2 things that can affect weight loss big time! He told me I could be a candidate for Lap Band/Bypass..etc...but ONE condition..NO Bariatric dr. would touch me unless I stopped taking Oxycodone and Soma..they actually slow your metabolism and sort of "sit" in your intestines. So where do I turn now? I was SO close 2 purchasing HealtheTrim until I read more negative comments then positive...I don't need the xtra issues that may come along with the product. I take Phentermine when I need a boost of energy and when I wake up feeling like I'm going 2 have a pig-out day(so 2 speak) It does help and it's ALOT cheaper than HealtheTrim and sounds like it has less side effects..maybe?

April 3, 2011 AT 7:57 pmI have been taking HT for 3 weeks. I take 2 in the AM right when I get up at 5:30..I get ready for work and make a fruit and yogurt smoothie and eat it when I get to work at 8:30. That is three hours later and I am not missing breakfast like a few others have stated. I then take 1 more pill in the afternoon at around 2 or 3. I started working out 5-6 days a week for 20-50min after I get home from work and before dinner. I strickly follow the rules of HT. I have been eating way less. I had last weighed myself in December and was 198, I didnt weigh myself before I started but am confident I had gained a few more pounds since december. After 1 week I weighed in at 197, and I now weigh 193. It may not be the miracle pill with 10lbs a week(yes I know BAD), But it sure has helped me feel more in control. I have tried other pills in the past along with the change in diet and exersize and did not see or feel the change. It even states for women that in the first few weeks you may not see a change in weight but you should notice a difference in measurements. This is true..I had to pull out older smaller pants and shirts this week, Items I was wearing when I started and fit well are now baggy and unflattering. I think the problem out there is that people are expecting that miracle pill where they can sit on their asses and eat a bunch of junk food. If that was possible there would be no such thing as obbesity. I will admit the ads do talk about not having to change, but they do talk about how they had more energy and started eating healthy and working out. If someone wants to truely lose weight they have to commit to it.

March 29, 2011 AT 6:47 amHealthe Trim is a huge scam and as someone who is in marketing and knows how to "spin" things, I really should have known better than to waste my money on it. Over the past 2 years, I managed to lose 50 lbs -- ENTIRELY ON MY OWN -- with a lifestyle change, healthy eating and pushing myself in my work outs. When I heard about Healthe Trim, I thought "Well, maybe this can help me shed those last annoying 10 lbs so I reach my overall goal." Wrong-o. The pill didn't do anything but made my stomach feel queasy. After being off the pill for the last week, eating 5-6 small healthy meals/day and working out, I've lost 5lbs. The pill is a joke and this whole "cut out caffeine and you'll lose 30lbs" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

March 28, 2011 AT 5:28 amI tried Healthy Trim and although it did take a few pounds off, I had side effects. Everyone says it gives you energy, not so. Maybe these people are not coffee drinkers to begin with and the pill perks them up. I am a coffee drinker (only 1 in the am) but with the pill you are NOT supposed to drink coffee or tea. NO extra caffine or the pill will not work as well. I was so tired from this pill and the removal of caffine I could not function. I gave it a whole month and I never felt so tired. Also, for those of you that are on any type of anti-depressant or anxiety meds you shoud NOT take Healthy Trim. You don't know that until you get the meds and read the literature. The pill is more of a detox pill, you will be very regular and you are drinking a lot of water which is very good for you. This is why I lost a few pounds and probably would have lost more if I kept going past a month but I felt soooooo terrible physically and was hungry most of the time that I had to stop. I can tell you that the minute I went off of the pill I gained the weight back and then some. I am a small person to begin with, I was just looking to lose 10 lbs or so but I ended up gaining 14 lbs. the minute I went off of Healthy Trim. I feel like it changed my metabolism. Good luck to those why try it, I hope you have a more positive result.
ReplyCarol says:
May 11, 2011 AT 8:32 amDianne's post on 3/28/11 describes exactly how I am feeling as I start my 3rd week on HT... "so tired...I cannot function" and "so terrible physically" that I will most likely be requesting the guaranteed refund once I give it a try for a whole month. I have not lost ANY weight, despite my reduced eating. I haven't exercised as I've been too exhausted since starting these pills and find myself sleeping more due to fatigue. I'm a very healthy person (despite being 30 lbs overweight) who gets regular checkups, so I know this whole fatigue thing is due to HT and not some other disorder. I was enticed to try it after months of skepticism and finally caving in to the radio ads by a favorite DJ. My biggest disappointment was to discover how they advertise "no changing your diet" and then after purchase, they push the same concept of ANY other diet program with 6 small meals a day and exercise. No s***, Sherlock! You don't need their pill to be successful if you just follow the plan of altering diet and adding exercise. I feel very duped and plan to take the whole month's supply and unless I have some miraculous change in the next 2 weeks, I'll be seeking a refund.

March 22, 2011 AT 6:54 amPersonally I wouldn't take anything without the advice or monitoring of a physician. The doctors used to prescribe adapex and pondamin which were appetite suppresants and even they stopped prescribing those because of the side affects of the drugs. If it's too good to be true, it usually is. Sheer mind set and determination is all most people need to overcome the cravings. I speak from experience, I'm overweight and it's a mental struggle for me to get up everyday and exercise. I fight it constantly, and I remind myself it wasn't a drug that got me this way, it was myself. I have thyroid disease and sheer lack of motivation. I have also learned that my disease and my age are major factors in why the weight doesn't come off as fast, just makes me work harder. Good Luck to those that are using the product! Like the P90X people, I hope you aren't disappointed once you stop using it.

March 26, 2011 AT 1:42 pmI started taking healthe trim because of two reasons- ONE-all the other diet pills have caffeine in them, caffeine doesnt work on me, i dont like it at all. they also tell you to keep drinking caffeine. didn't like that. Healthe trim's caffeine isnt caffeine-its from vitamins, other more natural ingredients. TWO-i didnt have to take it with food. I HATE popping pills-I never take aspirin or cold medicines. I am horrible at taking any kind of pills with food as well. I was very skeptical and decided only to try it based on those two reasons. The first day I tried it I took two in the morning-and wow that was too much! very jittery! In the directions AND instruction sheet it says "to feel your body out. If two pills in the AM is too much then drop it down to one pill in the AM and another an hour after lunch." So I did that and felt much better!! it works great. have been on it almost two weeks. lost 5 pounds in one week!! You do have to follow the directions like drink lots of water and eat right. I dont know where people get the idea it says for you not to change your diet when on the instruction sheet it tells you all things NOT to eat or drink. The instructions say DONT have caffiene drinks, teas, artifical sugars/flavoring, soft drinks, chocolate, and so on. I mean you can do that diet on your own, but the Healthe Trim I feel really does help. it does suppress my appetite. I am the type of person that used to eat every hour, my metabolism just goes and goes because I used to be so active. I started gaining weight because my job changed. I used to be on my feet 14-16 hours a day-now i sit at a desk 8-10 hours a day. I may only need one bottle of Healthe Trim because my body is loving being so clear and free from junk food. I'm addicted to this light clean feeling. i also have a ton of energy. I used to have to take naps, since I have been on Healthe Trim I haven't had one nap! Everyone's body is different and it may not work for you-tone down the dosage like the instructions say if you feel too jittery, eat right, excerise, drinks lots of water, and then it may work for you. Also my body has a high tolerance for pain, when I had my daughter, I was in labor for 3 and 1/2 day. The doctors gave me an epidural, tylenol with codine, and morphine-they only numbed me a little-WITH ALL THOSE PAIN KILLERS at different times in those three days! So for health trim to actually feel like its working for me is quite major! Good luck if you try it!
Replydkoh says:
April 16, 2011 AT 10:32 pma little off topic, but if your body has high pain tolerance you wouldn't need all this pain killers you body would deal with it, it sounds to me like your body has a resistance to medication, something completely different. fjrf "Also my body has a high tolerance for pain, when I had my daughter, I was in labor for 3 and 1/2 day. February 20, 2011 AT 2:01 pmI wouldn't say it's a scam but it could be misleading. I am just too caffeine sensitive and it's clashing with medication i am taking--both of which are warned about on the bottle. I just wanted to try it anyway. It gives me nervous energy, which I don't like. It also makes me angry and irritable. It DOES suppress appetite--why the OP said a pill can't do that is plain wrong. Using it with moderate portions and exercise would probably help someone lose weight.

You do need to change your diet and I do agree with that, you have to with any of the "diet pills". It's the only way to get the best results. However, it does curb cravings and suppress your appetite and gives you a boost of energy within 30 minutes of taking the pills. You will not get results unless you exercise and eat proper, that is with anything.

January 25, 2011 AT 11:21 amhere's the thing: healthy trim probably does work, if you follow the specific directions they give you. Only eating two light meals over time will result in weight loss -- but it's not sustainable in the long term. the minute you go back to eating like a normal human, the weight will come right back. If you've done any research on weight loss at all, you know that the best weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week. Any more than that, you're losing weight too fast, and you're most likely losing much more muscle than fat. Any program that has you losing weight at a higher rate than that is not a good idea. I know it's discouraging, but it's also a fact.

If you research soda drinking and weight gain youll find that soda is horrible. The energy increase you all claim to have is more likely your body feeling better due to the drastic decrease in the amount of refined sugar your consuming in the sodas. If you drink alot of soda and want to lose alot of weight. Stop the soda...including diet soda. You will be amazed at the weight you lose and the energy you get. Everytime you drink a soda consider yourself eating a king size candy bar. Sickening thought isnt it? Good luck

December 5, 2010 AT 8:52 amI've "dieted" for 1/3 of my adult life, after having numerous injuries to my spine. A lack of exercise due to pain left me inactive for 2-3 months at a time.....afterwards, through trial & error, here is what I discovered worked the best for me: 1-2 small-to-medium sized apples per day! Not only will eating apples pull the bad fat/cholestrol from your body, apples are a natural appetite supressant and cost less than all diet tricks combined. Do your reading, experiment, and after 6 months, if your cholesterol levels and weight haven't seen a big change, you've lost nothing. Just give it 6 months! I would cut up an apple and take it with me on the way to work with a bottle of water. Oh, you should avoid carbonated beverages and increase your intake of water. One beneficial thing that I learned: water helps flush the fat from your body, so as you diet, just increase your water intake. It's the most difficult thing of all. Good luck

March 25, 2011 AT 10:00 amWhat Linda said above is so true! Apples, apples, apples and tons of water. I have an apple every day after a 30 minute walk daily and the pounds just fall off. I quit drinking soda (even diet soda will make you extremly bloated) and have peppermint tea every night before bed. I don't eat past 8pm and I've lost 20 pounds and kept it off! The only way to stay healthy, lose weight and build muscle is to be smart about it. Side benifits of apples and water my skin looks amazing and I feel great after my walk, especially if I'm having a bad day at work. I go to bed feeling relaxed and don't feel restless. Good luck to all of us. Don't take the pills, it's a waste of money and they do nothing, I've been scammed a few times myself.

I also drink more water than I did before and have begun craving less fattening foods. I have lost 4lbs so far, I need to lose 10-15 more lbs. I do feel like I have more energy, however I am only taking one pill in the morning because I am still drinking my sodas. It is not a miracle pill by any stretch of the imagination, there are times I am really hungry and I will go get a class of water or do something else to take my mind off it and the feeling usually passes. I am giving it one month and then I will hopefully be in the maintenance stage.

November 15, 2010 AT 12:24 pmThis diet pill caused me to feel major jitters (only taking 2 pills in the am). I only took the pills for 2wks, hoping for the best, but felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Honestly, it was one of the worst things I have ever done to myself.

November 15, 2010 AT 10:29 amI heard this on the radio and said "yeah right" but I asked a friend and she said she swears by it, not for the losing weight but more for the feeling of energy and no crash. I weighed in at 168 when I began, I now weigh 138. BUT I did not do it with the pill alone, I stopped drinking coffee, soda, and caffienated tea. I no longer eat or crave fast food. Even when I go out to eat I notice I make healthier and lighter choices. I excercise 3-4 times a week, when possible. After I lost about 20lbs, I gave my body a month off from the pill and I still continued to lose, mostly because of my on conscience trying not to let the best of me, then I started up again. I only take one pill a day, during the week, watch what I eat and drink and I continued to lose. I will give my body a break from it here and there, but I say its is a great product, and even when you get off of it, your not like a hungry monster and want to eat the whole fridge and pantry. I say thumbs up..

March 1, 2011 AT 9:17 amI would like to know for the people that HT didn't work for; did you change your diet and exercise regime? I've lost weight with and without diet pills in the past. The only use for them is to curb the appetite, not to miraculously make you skinny. I find that one has to make up their mind NOT to use the word DIET, but a healthy lifestyle change to commit to for life! When you do eat "bad" foods, just do it in moderation and not all the time. Common sense should tell anyone that feeding the body garbage food, no matter what your size, will result in major health issues. Once you leave off all of those foods, you will find that your cravings tend to come under control without pills. Diets don't work when you do them just to go back to old eating habits after you lose the weight. Once you hit goal, find out how to maintain you new weight and continue to eat healthy and exercise. There is no time in your life that adhering to a healthy life-style should end.

November 12, 2010 AT 5:52 pmI just started HealtheTrim a week ago. Because I take prescription meds I chose to start with only 1 pill a day. After the first day I didn't notice anything. A few days later I started taking 2 pills a day (in the AM). Other than a slight energy boost in the morning, I don't feel any different! In fact I think I'm more hungry now than I used to be. Sadly after the first week I had only lost 1 lb, which could have been mostly water. I am following the instructions, trying not to eat a lot when I do eat, and not eating sugar, only drinking water, etc. I'm frustrated that it isn't working for me like it does other people.

November 10, 2010 AT 3:35 pmHealthy trim is not for people who are on blood pressure medicine. They told me it was save but it wasn't. My blood pressure was raising higher even with me taking my meds. Listening to the D.J.'s talk about this and hair removal is upsetting but I won't stop listening because of the music. Instead I change stations when they start bragging about how much they lost or about how they don't have to shave. Low income people can't afford this stuff so it is almost like telling little girls that Barbie is what you should look like.

November 10, 2010 AT 8:22 amI started taking healthy trim. I love it. Give me much more energy than I had before. In the first week I went down 2 belt loops. You don't change what you eat, just what you drink. I eat the same foods, but my body just doesn't constantly think about food like it did before. I work for a nutritionist and I know about all the foods that cause cravings and even still my body wanted more. The draw back is the excessive amout of energy first thing in the morning seeing as to how I have a desk job. And the fact that I shouldn't add more caffine to my diet. Its an easy weight loss method for those of us who hate doing it alone. And yes, it is safe. Like I said I work for a nutritionist and he ok-ed it before I even ordered it!! I would recomend this to anyone~

November 5, 2010 AT 12:47 pmI have actually used Healthe Trim and, while I am not morbidly obese, have lost 13 pounds and managed to keep it off. I didn't change WHAT I ate. It changed HOW MUCH I ate. Last time I checked, limiting your caloric intake caused people to lose weight. I do have a lot of energy. However, the only side effect I can complain about is that I rarely consumed caffeine before and due to the natural caffeine present in Healthe Trim, I get withdrawals when I skip a day or two of the pill. Am I a satisfied customer? Yes! And I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight.

October 28, 2010 AT 7:33 amI keep hearing the morning D.J. preach about this stuff. I've lost all respect for the guy by now. He'll say anything if there's a paycheck in it for him. My Doctor has been warning me about diabetes for over 5 years. He wanted me to limit my calorie intake to 1,500 a day with a little exercise such as walking. OK, I finally got on my doctor's eating prescription. I also walk 2 miles a day and sticking (with difficulty) to the calorie limitation. I also learned a new word, Endocrinology, which means "Body Chemistry". 100 calories of french fries is not the same as 100 calories of grapes. Everything we eat (or smoke) is a chemical and will have an effect on your body cells. It was recommended to me to read a book written by weight loss guru whose initials are J.M. and the title's initials are M.Y.M. (Don't want to get accused of promoting something) and it has been an eye opener. In the past 6 weeks I am down from 245 to 228. My goal is maybe 190. I am doing it by just stop treating my body as a cess-pool. And NO PILLS! I have a ton more energy and find myself doing all those home improvement projects I've been putting off. Bottom line; I can loose the weight by just respecting who I am.

October 16, 2010 AT 11:19 amI read your info on the potentially harmful ingredients and I must say that was enough of a red flag for me. I have been taking Healthe Trim for a year now, and what I like about it is the energy it gives me each day. I do only take half the dose recommended, because the full dose gave me headaches and jitters initially. I have lost 10lbs but that's it. I need to lose 15 more but at 52 I need to do more that just take a pill. Anyway, I did have blood work done 2 weeks ago and all came back normal except my CBC level which has something to do with my liver function. Which could be a direct result of the hydroxycitric acid contained in the Healthe Trim. I am going to stop taking it and have my blood work checked again in a month. Thank you for your research and valuable information. Any advice on what I can do or take that can give my energy level a boost in a healthy way?

October 12, 2010 AT 6:26 pmI started taking healthy trim in April and was not very dedicated. I continued drinking sodas and eating what I wanted. Basically, I had not made up my mind that I wanted to commit myself to a new way of eating. I stopped taking the pills. At the end of May, I decided to start taking them again. I cut all sodas, tea, and fried foods. To date I have lost 30 pounds and dropped 3 sizes in clothes. I only take the pills during the week and drink a lot of water. I continue to eat what I want. I just eat half of what I put on my plate. It has really helped me. I am a very picky eater and as you know with most diets you have to eat a lot of vegetables. My vegetables are potatoes and corn. I highly recommend this product. You just have to make up your mind that you want to do it before you start.

January 12, 2011 AT 6:15 pmLike others here I have fibromyalgia, nerve damage, back problems, etc., etc. I am unable to exercise and must take pain medication. Despite that I would like to say that this pill can NOT be good for you. Listen, it is only common sense to understand that breakfast is not the meal you want to skip. It is the only meal that you completely burn off even with no exercise. It is the most important meal of the day. It sets up your body for everything. If you crash and burn thru out the day you probly had a sugar breakfast and coffee. You must eat a good breakfast that will sustain you. If there were one meal you were going to skip in your attempt to lose weight it would be dinner. This is the meal that is always 2 to 5 times more than what we really need, portion wise etc. We also are sediment after dinner, most of us anyway. We do nothing to burn off these calories or help digest them. It has also been mentioned to drink more water and stop drinking sodas. Sodas are one of the single worst things you can do, period. They kill us. Also, start checking the labels on the foods you buy, you are looking for high fructose syrup. This vies for first for the worst additive that does you harm. It is a completely not necessary for any reason in any food. It was initially made to bolster profits for corn farmers and rangled it's way into government subsidies and has been killing us ever since. It is pure sugar. Do not buy products high fructose, you don't need it or want it if you want to lose weight. Swimming is a great way to exercise, I wish I lived where I could swim. Just moving in the water provides pain free exercise and burns calories. So remember, don't skip breakfast, drink lots of water, you can't really drink too much water, stay away from sodas and food with high fructose. Try and swim or walk. Lower your sugar and salt intake. Lower your bread intake, eat more green foods, generally, if it is green you can eat as much as you want. celery and lettuce are good examples. apples are sugar in the end so you can eat them just lower sugar some where else. Good luck!!!

October 11, 2010 AT 8:26 amOk, I have been using Healthe Trim and I have to say, it does help me. Is it a miracle pill, NO, and for anyone who thinks it is is crazy. The 1st time I tried it I didn't change a thing as far as habits. Not because I thought it was a miracle pill, because I was plain stupid. I stopped, and returned it, with 100% no hassle or questions asked by them and got my money back very quick. For whatever reason, I decided to give it another try, along with changing my habits and I have to say it has worked for me. I've tried a lot in my days and this is the only thing that has helped me. It's not a scam at all in my opinion.

September 30, 2010 AT 10:01 amI have been on Healthy Trim for awhile now and I have to say I feel great. For those that say its a scam becuase they tell you to skip breakfast, that is not the case. They say wait 2-3 hours before you eat. I wake up at 7, take healthy trim, go for a 3 mile walk and by the time I get home and get ready its been 2 hours anyway. Not everyone is able to eat as soon as they wake up. Also as far as Metabolism goes. Healthy Trim is a Thermo-Energy Booster which means that it boosts your Metabolism for you. If gives me a great boost of energy in the morning which makes it easier to get my jump start on the day. I have also lost weight too. No you can not keep your own diet. You have to eat right and drink lots of water. Plus a little exercise never hurt anyone. Healthy Trim is by no means a Miracle cure for weight loss but a tool to make weight loss a reality.

November 4, 2010 AT 7:11 amThe owner of this company was just on the radio here in Orlando, where we too have been barraged with the DJ's weight loss story (70 lbs but he gained 20 back already). The pill company owner Matthew says that his product makes you skinny, healthy & strong, and has twice challenged the station mascot "Drunky the Bear" to fitness contests. Today, it was arm wrestling for $500. All in the room saw Matthew loose after trying to cheat his way to a win, and then literally run out of the room to leave for his flight back home calling the masot a looser on the way out in true high school bully fashion while welching on this bet. Other show character callen Matthew "the most hated man in radio" and told them to call "1-800-welchonyourbet". The DJ who promotes the products claimed not to have seen what happened and then quickly went to commercial, and when they came back not another word was spoken about this bit they'd been focused on for 30+ minutes. Looks like DJ doesn't want to loose his income source. For months during hte weight loss process, the DJ admitted he'd been very sad due to end of his marriage, and was really dieting while loosing this weight, and now that he was in a new relationship and happy again he'd gained 20 lbs back. I was going online to order the product figuring "I have nothing but some fat to loose" but after reading this I will not waste time, money or health on what is certainly just another scam. Thanks so much!

I did not change my diet however once on the pills my diet changed itself, i started to notice i ate less, smaller portions and this happens over about 4-6 weeks. After week 7-8 i started to notice clothes fitting a bit baggy and decided to weigh my self, i had lost about 17 lbs by then. The next few weeks i lost and lost big, I have weeks when i lose only 1lb but the next lose 3lb if not more. Just went on vacation for a week and did not take them at all and still lost 3lbs just because my eating habits have changed. YOu have to drink lots of water and stay off caffeine, not just a little but off it while on the pills. I only take pills during the week, rarely do i take them on the weekends..........another trick, when going out to eat i started to drink a full glass of water before my meal arrived this helped me feel fuller by the time my meal came, now that i know i will feel fuller faster i have learned how to order smaller meals, because i know i will get full. My husband and i share many dishes now when out so it is helping him as well without taking the pills.

July 13, 2010 AT 6:57 pmI bought this product and have lost maybe 10 LBS I think that it has nothing to do with the Healthe Trim I think it has everything to do with that I stopped drinking about 124 oz. of soda a day. when I decided to take it the paperwork made it very clear that you can't drink Caffine while taking this product. So I quit cold turkey cause I was afraid of the results of both. I feel a lot better not drinking soda. so I will say that spending $60 on Healthe trim has made me stop drinking soda and nothing else. I also think that if you get up inte morning and drink 3 to 4 glasses of water you wont be hungry you don't need healthe trim to do that.

Been 6months and have not gained any back, only took the pills for those 2 months. I want to lose 20lbs more, but because I am now out of the "overweight" bmi catagory I can not get the dr to help, so I am going to try this, I am betting a little push in engery is all I need and can't wait to try it!. I've been taking it now for six weeks and have lost 3 lbs, but have also been working out 4 days a week and eating healthy so I'm thinking the pill has done nothing. the only good thing about it is that i have energy.

June 21, 2010 AT 5:11 pmHey Patty, Thanks for posting! There have been a lot of reports in the comments here about Healthe Trim's ongoing radio "scam." My local radio DJ said he lost 18lbs in 2 weeks taking Healthe Trim, which is actually what prompted this investigation. I think the makers of Healthe Trim should be held accountable for these false advertisements. I think what's even worse is the fact that all of our favorite radio DJs are lying to us when they say these things but I'd like to think that they're pressured into doing so by their superiors. -Henry

June 3, 2010 AT 6:17 pmHi. Normally I don't believe in these products but the DJ on my morning radio station had the guy from Healthy Trim on today and the DJ himself is taking it and has lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. So I was going to give it a try this time. I'm glad I decided to research it first though and found this site. After reading the other comments I am not going to buy it. Thank you!

ReplyMichael says:
June 22, 2010 AT 2:59 pmHi Mary, The Dr.s are right. Its up to your daughter and not you. She has to want to change her mind, and then she will be able to change her body. Perhaps you and other loving adults in her life need to sit down with her and talk to her about what satisfaction she gets from eating, that is more important to her than being over-wheight. Its always about way more than the food. The food isn't her issue. Its the drug she uses to deal with the issue. Keep that in mind. Its no different than a person who is a drug addict, because they grew up abbused or with someother issue and they used the cocaine, pot, etc. to numb themselves to what was going on around them. (i'm not saying your daughter is abbused) i am saying though something bigger than food itself is going on. Best of luck. and no matter what She is Beautiful, she is loved, and she is important, no matter her weight, or size - because she is yours.
Replygini says:
August 11, 2010 AT 6:18 amMy daughter was getting a little heavy and I was concerned. No one wants their kid to feel "fat." She is a size 5 now and she loves it. I was a part of the solution by exercising with her daily, planning menus that make sense, and keeping the "junk" out of the house. All covert... no need to give your kid an eating disorder. Kids have enough pressure without their parents saying they are not perfect enough to be "loved." What we do at our house is exercise together. That's it! We move our bums and watch a limited amount of tv. We just get up walk the dog, hike, walk to the store half a mile away to split a regular size snickers... you want a BMW, then you earn it so why should candy be different? No one "needs" candy! No over abundance of snack type foods in the house. Right now... 3 ramen cups of soup and cheez-its are the only things in the house that aren't a fruit, veggie, or basic good for you food item. Kids lose the cravings for junk when they have the options of good food that tastes great! Cut the carrots, wash the grapes, put them on the table during homework time. IF you want your kids to be healthy... you have to teach them through your actions and support in having what they need to be healthy at their finger tips. If your fat and you buy crap food... you get what you get. If you teach your child the healthy way to eat, live, exercise... then you are blessing them with a healthy life forever!

May 13, 2010 AT 12:06 amThe most important thing people should realize is there is no such thing as a "Mircale" pill that is going to make you lose weight. Loseing weight is all about balance, your body is like a machine, it needs a certian amout of energy to maintain bodily functions, if you intake too much, this is just waste and your body must store it. Its common sense if you just think about it.

I am a believer of the "too good to be true" line and was fortunate to find this article. I also search Hoodia Gordonii )active ingredient in Healthe Trim on wikipedia and there are concerns over liver issues when a global drug maker Pfizer worked to synthesize hoodia back in 2002. Interesting read. Thanks for your work. Again, another deceptive marketing campaign.

May 2, 2010 AT 8:54 pmI have been taking Heathe Trim for about two months and it DOES work... Granted you wont loose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, thats just bs. I have lost 7lbs, and dropped a size. However what I think is important and this is what I do, I created a diet and only allow myself a certain amount of calories per day (1200-1500) and I work out for an hour 3 times a week. What I have been using Healthe trim for is a tool to help me stick to a diet, which is does I have plenty of energry through out the day and while I do get hungry its so much easier to eat less, which was my problem I couldnt stick to a diet because I was still hungry and I refuse to starve myself, if I'm hunrgy, I eat. One bottle lasted me longer that 60 days becuase I wouldn't take it on my cheat days, but also one capsule is plenty for me, I would be a wreck if I took 2-4 per day but that might just be me. I just wanted to point out that it does work if you need something to help you out, but if you think that its going to be a mircale worker you will be seriously dissapionted.

April 26, 2010 AT 11:56 amI took Healthe rim last year for aproximately three months before a yearly vacation to lose a few pounds quickly and it seemed to work great and withing a month and a half I lost 20lbs.. Unfortunaely or fortunately, I also added in walking 5-6 miles a night, drank only water, and reduced my food intake at least by half. I started questioning whether or not the healthe trim was the key factor in my weight lose o if it was the reduction of calories/exercise. I emailed Healthe Trim and asked them directly because with the combination I thought my weight lose would be increased but after the second month the weight lose seemed to slow down considerably. The weight lose stopped at approximately 24lbs., I am currently trying Healthe Trim again and this time without excercise, the results are completely different as I have not lost any weight in a full week and to add to it, it does not curve the appetite like it did before. Since they have gotten my phone number I receive multiple calls trying to get my reorder for the product, but am wondering if this is not the approach I need to take?

April 17, 2010 AT 4:13 amYep - this outfit loves to make totally deceptive marketing claims. The last ad I heard this week said "It's all natural so there are no stimulants!" Since when does all natural = no stimulants? The product has caffeine in it... and they have talked about it on the radio no giving people jitters... yet they contradict themselves when talking about the product when the DJs say they tell people to start slow so they don't feel too weird... hmmm, I wonder why? It's sad to see these DJs, some of which are fitness minded, sell such products that mislead people about the healthy solutions...not diet pills. It's also good to note that these "contests" they are running for listeners are heavily supplemented with "diets" and trainers... so if the pill is such a miracle, why on earth would these contestants talk about their "diets"? It's because the weight loss mechanism is eating less and exercise... and the diet pill has only a minor impact. They are also motivated by the prize money - if I were to offer anyone money to lose weight, they would no matter what diet or pill they took. Keep up the good work -- I hope this diet pill goes away from the radio very, very soon.
